WWE 12: Legends Roster Makes New Video Game a Must-Own

T.J. McaloonNov 20, 2011

The latest installment of the WWE’s video games is one of the most anticipated video games in the history of the WWE. But it isn’t just the video game that is getting so much buzz, it’s the legends that you and I can use in the game.

The active roster already is going to make it great. Playing as Zack Ryder and taking him to the WWE Title would make a broski like myself want to buy the game. But, the legends that are in the roster already and the ones that you can download, make this game a must-own.

I’ll spare you the complete list of legends in the game, but what I will do is highlight some of the ones that will make you go, “Yes I must own this game now!”

First off, we have The Rock in the game. It’s one thing to see him come back on television every now and then, but now you have the option of playing as “The Great One” every single day.

Along with The Rock, you can finally see him reunite with Mick Foley to reform “The Rock n’ Sock connection.” Having Foley back in the game is a fitting tribute to someone who gave his body for wrestling, especially the WWE.

Have you forgotten how awesome The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin’s matches were? Well, now you can relive their epic contests from their trilogy of matches from WrestleMania every single day in WWE ’12.

However, the superstars of the Attitude Era are just the tip of the Legends iceberg in this game. You have a number of legends from the glory days of the 1980s that you can play as.

Have you wanted to see how Vader would match up against The Undertaker? Well, your wish is WWE’s command, as you can see two titans go up against each other to see which one is the better power house.

And finally, one dream match that I personally would love to see is CM Punk vs. The Macho Man Randy Savage. For the longest time the WWE has kept Savage away. However, now it seems as if they are bringing him back into the WWE family after his untimely passing.

The game comes out this week and has already gained a lot of buzz. WWE ’12 will be among one of the must-have games during this holiday season. It already will give you a lot to do with the current superstars. Now, with the Legends it may keep you from seeing the light of day until the new year.
