NFL Week 11 Picks: Sunday Score Predictions for Every Major Matchup
Week 11 could prove to be a pivotal week in the league where they play for pay. There are some intriguing divisional matchups that will have huge playoff implications down the road.
Add the fact that there were a ton of major injuries last week, and we can see some lopsided scores this afternoon.
Here are score predictions for all of the big games in Week 11.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals
1 of 4This game is huge not just for the two teams involved; every AFC team that is looking for a wild card spot will be paying close attention to this game.
The loss of A.J. Green will be enormous; it will allow the Ravens to play defense in a shrunken field. When Green was out in the Steelers game, the Bengals offense was just not the same, and Andy Dalton looked like a rookie.
Add in the fact that the Bengals will be without their top cover corner, Leon Hall, and things add up for the Ravens, even without Ray Lewis.
Prediction: Ravens 20, Bengals 13
San Diego Chargers vs. Chicago Bears
2 of 4This game features maybe the NFL's hottest team (outside of the Packers) in Chicago, and the league's coldest team, the Chargers.
Rivers is going to have to revert to his 2010 form if the Chargers are going to have a chance in this game. The Chargers have a ton of injuries on the offensive line, and going against the likes of Peppers and Co., it does not bode well for Rivers and the Charger offense.
On the other side of the ball, I expect a big day from Matt Forte and for Cutler to make a few big throws. If the Bears offensive line can continue to play well, this is going to be a blowout.
Prediction: Bears 27, Chargers 14
Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants
3 of 4Without Michael Vick in this game, this would seem like an easy victory for the Giants and for them to take another step towards winning the NFC East.
However, as far as backup quarterbacks go, you can do a lot worse than Vince Young, who has always given the Giants fits. If they can get LeSean McCoy going, the Giants may be in some trouble.
The real key to this game is whether the Giants can run against the soft Eagles defense without Ahmad Bradshaw. I expect that they will at least have enough success on the ground and Eli will make a few big throws to win them the game.
Prediction: Giants 30, Eagles 21
New England Patriots vs. Kansas City Chiefs
4 of 4The last time these two teams met, Tom Brady was knocked out of the 2008 season, bringing Matt Cassel off the bench and into relevancy, and eventually was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, Cassel is likely done for the season, and Tyler Palko will take the reins.
If the Chiefs have any hope of winning this game, they will need to knock Brady out of the game again. Otherwise, this is going to be a long night for the Chiefs.
I can, however, see a scenario where defensive coordinator Romeo Crenell has a masterful game, as he knows Brady well from his days in New England. If Derrick Johnson can handle Rob Gronkowski, the Chiefs have a chance.
The Patriots defense isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but if you are starting a new quarterback, this is probably an ideal unit for face.
Still, I cannot possibly pick Tyler Palko to beat Tom Brady.
Prediction: Patriots 34, Chiefs 20
