Week 11 BCS Poll: Bold Predictions for the Top 10 After Week 11 Upsets
The BCS is a complete mess after the likes of No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 Oklahoma and No. 7 Clemson were all upset by lesser or non-ranked opponents this weekend.
Now, it's time to sort it all out.
Who will be the BCS Top 25 after it's all said and done?
Well, this isn't all 25 teams, but it'll give some insight into the nation's Top 10 teams.
No. 1 LSU Tigers (11-0)
1 of 11The No. 1 ranked LSU Tigers held Ole Miss to a field goal and poured on the points, winning on the road; 52-3.
They're not going anywhere anytime soon.
No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1)
2 of 11Due to an Oklahoma State loss, the Alabama Crimson Tide have risen back to No. 2, placing themselves into prime position for a rematch vs. LSU in the BCS Championship Game.
They dropped 45 on Georgia Southern, while improving their record to 10-1 on the season.
No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks (10-1)
3 of 11By not being upset by Mississippi State, the Arkansas Razorbacks will jump straight into third place in the BCS Top 25. They're still in the conversations for the BCS Championship Game, and their season-ender vs. LSU will decide it.
No. 4 Stanford Cardinal
4 of 11With their win over California, and losses for three other Top 5 teams, Stanford will jump right back into the mix of things, claiming the No. 5 spot and staking a claim into the BCS Championship Game.
No. 5 Boise State Broncos
5 of 11After beating 6-4 San Diego State, Boise State will capitalize on misfortunes of others and hop right into the No. 6 spot in the BCS Top 25.
No. 6 Houston Cougars
6 of 11While the Houston Cougars are the only undefeated team in the BCS Top 25 not named LSU, their weak schedule has kept them out of BCS contention. They'll move up to seventh, but barring another week full of upsets, they won't go any further than that.
No. 7 Virginia Tech Hokies (10-1)
7 of 11Again, by not being the subject of an upset at the hands of North Carolina, Virginia Tech will likely jump right up into the No. 7 spot. They just crawled out of their home stadium with a 24-21 win over the Tar Heels, and look towards state-rival Virginia Tech next week.
No. 8 Kansas State Wildcats (9-2)
8 of 11Kansas State did what they were supposed to, defeating No. 23 Texas and staying as one of the teams to not be the victim of an upset. Their victory will likely push them up into the eighth spot in the Top 25.
No. 9 Oregon Ducks (9-2)
9 of 11In a comeback effort, Oregon fell just three points shy of overtime against a tough opponent in USC. They were down 38-14, and brought the score up to 38-35, but a missed FG from Alejandro Maldonado kept the Ducks from OT and a potential victory.
Though the Trojans are unranked, due to a recently revealed Reggie Bush scandal, they are known around the nation as an incredibly tough opponent and this will be factored into the re-ranking of the Ducks.
Ninth seems like a good spot to place the formerly-ranked No. 4 Oregon Ducks.
No. 10 South Carolina Gamecocks (9-2)
10 of 11South Carolina played a way lesser opponent in Citadel, but will see a hike in their BCS ranking due to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State's upsets.
No. 10 is a good spot for them.
Honorable Mention: No. 11 Georgia Bulldogs (9-2)
11 of 11The Georgia Bulldogs had an easy opponent in the Kentucky Wildcats, but a win is a win. The Bulldogs will hop up three spots into 11th place and will look towards a victory over Georgia State to push their ranking higher.
