NFL Week 11 Predictions: Baltimore Ravens Will Soar over Bengals with Ease

Luis BatlleNov 19, 2011

In what will be as crucial a game as any in Week 11 of the NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in hopes of taking control of the AFC North division. Yet it will be the Ravens that cruise to victory over the Bengals on Sunday, make no mistake about it.

For one, the Ravens are a team that has been relatively consistent when it comes to home games. This year the team is undefeated at M&T Bank Stadium, winning all four games at home this year.

What makes these wins all the more impressive? These came to their division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3), the New York Jets (5-5), AFC-leading Houston Texans (7-3) and Arizona Cardinals (3-6) who come off a recent win over the Eagles.

Three of the four teams above are easily playoff contenders, with the Steelers and Texans tied atop the entire AFC for the conference-lead. These wins have come to some of the more well-rounded, impressive teams in the NFL.

It has also been a story of consistent inconsistencies for the Ravens this season as well. It seems as if the team will lose a game on the road that they should win based on records, and come back to put a two to three game stretch of impressive wins.

After the first loss of the season to the Tennessee Titans, the Ravens went on to beat both the Jets and Texans as part of a three-game win streak. This was followed by a 12-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, which was then followed up with wins over Arizona and a season sweep of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who some argue is the best team in the AFC.

If one thing is for certain, it's that these birds not only come back from losses with a response, but that they bring their "A-game" against some of the better teams in football.

A big reason why the Ravens will beat the Bengals is in the simple fact that their defense is more than capable of keeping the Cincinnati Bengals offense off the field.

Quarterback Andy Dalton's play as of late has been impressive, yet the Ravens defense is argued by most as the best defense in football. The No. 6 pass defense and No. 3 run defense will make life difficult for both Dalton and running back Cedric Benson to get going.

At the end of the day, the Ravens will respond as usual with a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. With as good a defense as the Bengals have faced all season, as well as the experience on the defensive side of the football as well, there is no question life will be difficult for the Bengals.

Look for the Ravens to respond big at home in the must-win situation.
