B/R's Wrestling Year End Review
Seeing as I have not been on Bleacher Report very long I cannot talk about the wrestling community throughout this year, but I can talk about what happened this past year in Wrestling.
Of course since hardly anyone can remember everything that happened I will just cover the big events. The events that people will remember for a good while.
Starting in January

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Jeff Hardy became a Main Eventer. He actually won a Slammy for Extreme Moment of the Year for his Swanton onto Orton from the top of the RAW stage. It was probably one of Jeff's top five greatest Swantons of all time.
John Cena wins the Royal rumble in a shocking return. Cena had been injured for a while and people believed he'd come back later on around Wrestlemania time. And those were wrong.
He came back as the 30th person in the Royal Rumble match and shocked the World. He won the Rumble and went on to Wrestlemania.
Wrestlemania
Many things happened around this time, but the things people remember are the Main Event matches that happened and a few others.
Ric Flair was given an ultimatum by Vince McMahon a month or two in advance that said the next time Flair lost he had to retire from wrestling.
He was inducted onto the WWE Hall of Fame this year and was the first person ever to be an active wrestler in the Hall of Fame. That did not last long when Mr.Wrestlemania Shawn Michaels beat him, forcing him to retire.
Orton wins his match and keeps his World Title reign going by beating Rumble winner John Cena and Triple H with a punt to the head.
CM Punk wins the Money in the Bank match in dramatic fashion.
Spring
The reason I put Spring is because I don't know the exact dates.
The Undertaker is banished after Edge bates him with help from La Familia in a TLC match.
Randy Orton loses his WWE Title to Triple H and ends up getting hurt.
Summer
The reason for Summer is the same as Spring.
The HBK/Y2J feud started.
The WWE Draft happened, sending big names such as Triple H and Jeff Hardy to SmackDown and Rey Mysterio to RAW. CM Punk was also sent to RAW from ECW along with Kofi Kingston.
Vince McMahon has part of the stage fall on him forcing him to be out indefinately. He is still unheard from. His character as he calls it, was written out for some time. There is no word on his return.
CM Punk cashes in MITB on Edge after a Batista beat down in the middle of a RAW ring. Edge was gloating that SmackDown had all the World Titles after the draft.
And since both Triple H (WWE Champion) and Edge (World Champion) won their matches at Night of Champions they got to keep their titles. Edge faced Batista and beat him with some help.
Batista still angry goes to the ring with gloating Edge, and basically best him senseless. CM Punk sees this as an opportunity and cashes the MITB on Edge beating him with his finisher Go To Sleep.
Edge and Vickie get married, but Vickie realizes with Triple H's help that Edge cheated on her with Alicia Fox. Vickie gets angry and makes Edge face, reinstates The Undertaker, and puts Edge and Taker in a Hell in a Cell match.
Undertaker sent Edge to Hell.
Fall/Winter
Again, the same with Summer and Spring.
A few big things happened in the Fall and winter. Many people remember the events since they just happened.
John Cena returned.
Jeff Hardy gets a new image, paints his face and goes extreme!
Edge returns from Hell at Survivor Series with a big beard and beats HHH and Vladimir Kozlov to regain his WWE Title. This happened after Jeff Hardy was attacked outside his Boston hotel.
Hardy comes out pretty much right after Edge does and attacks him, but accidentally hits HHH and Kozlov with a steel chair. This made it easy for Edge to spear him and cover HHH for the victory.
This was another blow to Hardy, who had never won a World Championship.
The feeling didn't last long after he became a co-No. 1 contender for the WWE Title with HHH. The first time someone started a year No. 1 contender for a World Title and ended it as the No. 1 contender. (Thanks to Ron Johnson for the stat.)
Edge put his title on the line a Armageddon and lost it to Jeff Hardy.
The much deserving Hardy won his first World Championship in his career. But it was kind of weird that Matt Hardy didn't get the same reception after winning the ECW Title months before.
If I missed something let me know, also tell me your favorite moment that happened this year.
