NFL Picks Week 11: Games Guaranteed to Come Down to the Wire

Josh SchochNov 19, 2011

The 2011-12 NFL season has been a great one, and it has more thrills in store for Week 11.  There's nothing like watching a game come down to the final play, as these three games have the potential to do.

While there aren't as many evenly matched games as in previous weeks, there are still a few to look forward to this week.

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

The Bengals have been one of the surprise teams this season and have a 6-3 record.  They are currently tied with the Ravens for second in the division, and the winner will be tied with the Steelers for first.  The Steelers are 7-3 and have a bye week.

This is a crucial game—the winner will probably not be going to the playoffs.  ESPN has the line for this game at seven points, but the Bengals will challenge the Ravens.

The Bengals have a good defense, which will stymie the Ravens' offensive attack.  Rookie quarterback Andy Dalton has struggled against good defenses like that of the Ravens, but he has seen enough to adjust.

This is going to be a very low-scoring game, and it will come down to the last drive.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cleveland Browns

This isn't exactly a marquee matchup, but it will still be a good game (or at least be sloppy enough to come down to the wire).

Both teams are 3-6 and have struggled.  While I believe the Jags to be the better team, they have struggled on the road, going 1-4.

These two teams are evenly matched. While this game does not hold playoff implications of any kind, the teams will still put on a show.

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants

This is the game I will be watching.  The "Dream Team" Eagles have turned into a nightmare, as they showed in their embarrassing fourth quarter loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

While the Eagles are 3-6 and the Giants are 6-3, we've seen some great games at the Meadowlands, including last year's impressive comeback by the Eagles.

Rivalry games always seem to be close, and this game will be no different.  The Eagles certainly have the talent they need, but quarterback Michael Vick has been plagued by injuries.  I expect Vick to play in this one, but the majority of the work will be given to stellar running back LeSean McCoy.

This Sunday Night Football game will be a great one, and with no other games on there' no excuse for not watching it.
