WWE '12: Randy Savage Announced as Third Legend in the January DLC Pack!

On Tuesday, “Macho Man” Randy Savage was announced as the final legend in the Legend DLC pack that is due to be released in January for WWE '12.

I think this is probably the most anticipated character out of the pack and his character model looks good in the promotional video. Here are the details as revealed by THQ;

“Yesterday we revealed Mick Foley as the second Legend in the 3rd DLC Pack for WWE '12. You thought that it couldn't get any better than that, right? Well, the WWE '12 roster just got goosebumps from their nose to their toes.

"The "Macho Man" Randy Savage will be in WWE '12! Can you believe it? After years of requests from the WWE Games Universe demanding Savage's inclusion in the SvR franchise, we finally can meet that request in WWE '12.”

Finally bowing down to the fans demands is a good thing and it also allows them to now play as the late Legend as a realistic character, as opposed to the awful portrayal in the mind-boggling WWE All-Stars.

What really irritates me is the fact that THQ are rubbing it in our faces again by saying the following;

 “Savage will be decked out in his classic WrestleMania VII attire, where he squared off against The Ultimate Warrior in one of the most memorable matches in WWE history!”

I’m not moaning about the attire but Ultimate Warrior isn’t even in the game, so what’s the point of that?! It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Here’s a playable character, but none of the characters he squared off against will be in the game, so why not bury him with Triple H or John Cena?

I’m looking forward to the inclusion of the Macho Man because it looks like they’ve put some effort into his character model, which is more than can be said for most of the roster.

However, I am disappointed that the full roster has now been revealed and there is obviously no room for any other superstars.

I guess I’ll be heading to the online creations when the game is eventually released...
