WWE Survivor Series 2011 Matches: Why Big Show and Mark Henry Will Fail
What do you get when you take one slow immovable object who can’t work in the ring anymore and cross it with another immovable object who never could? What if you add in the fact that there is no heat to the story line and nothing to look forward to? You get the Big Show vs. Mark Henry.
Why they are giving us this match again is beyond me, but it just shows the failure of WWE to treat their show like an ongoing series. Having matches without effective story lines was great back when wrestling still kept the illusion that what they were doing was very real. Since then. the curtain has been drawn and OZ has been exposed. There is nothing that we believe is real yet they still treat their story lines as if they can be met with little planning.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
If Big Show wins on Sunday(and that’s highly unlikely) what will they do with him next? Where does the character go?
If Mark Henry rides off into the sunset with another improbable title defense, who takes him on next? At the end of the day, for as much good as they have done into building Mark Henry as a legit champ, they have done little to make much of this feud. It has felt like a feud that was born out of a need to do something with both guys but not necessarily do anything creative that might forward the product at all. When you aren’t thinking about the future, you aren’t building anything. It’s a common theme at Survivor Series with The Rock, Triple H and Kevin Nash all working but with none of them any good to the long term health of the business.
Big Show and Henry will fight, hit a couple of spots but fail to truly entertain. On the second biggest pay-per-view of the year, it would seem insane to book a match that is sure to fall this short.
