Week 11 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Dwayne Bowe and 5 Recievers You Must Sit

Kelly ScalettaNov 18, 2011

In fantasy football often times the most unpredictable position is wide receiver. They can be up and down and as unreliable as any position. It can kill your fantasy team when a bona fide star receiver only grabs a couple of catches and you lose by two points.

That's why you to avoid these star starts.

Dwayne Bowe: With backup quarterback Tyler Palko tossing the rock, it's unlikely that Bowe will get many chances. Coupled with a Patriots defense that is steadily improving, more than a few catches for 50 yards would be a shock.

DeSean Jackson: Michael Vick has two broken ribs. On top of that, the Eagles are going against a New York Giants defense that puts lots of pressure on the quarterback. If they don't get to Vick he'll still have trouble throwing the ball well.

Vick didn't do that well last week and he won't do well this week.

Vincent Jackson: Jackson has been up and down all year, and this promises to be a down week. Rivers seems to have a new fondness for completing passes to opposing defenses and the Bears create turnovers. They are also adept at stripping the ball.

Jackson has as good a shot at a fumble as he does a TD this week.

Mike Williams: The last time Williams had a TD catch was Week 1 and the Eagles still had hopes of being a dream team. While there's a chance he could be in for a big day against a generous Packers pass defense, it's a good chance he misses out again.

Greg Jennings: Jennings is an elite receiver, but the problem is that since Aaron Rodgers has so many targets, you don't know which one he is going to use from week to week. While Rodgers is a must start, you're usually better off staying away from all his receivers because it's just too hit and miss.

The advice in this column intended for use in salary cap leagues where the same player is available for purchase by multiple owners.
