Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: Ranking the Most Explosive Offenses

Chris TrapassoNov 18, 2011

I have a tough time predicting exactly which receivers are going to have big fantasy games each week. Quarterbacks are distributing the ball to so many of their pass-catchers these days.

Thanks, Aaron Rodgers.

So, instead, let's look at the most explosive offenses this week. They're bound to have a handful of guys turn in respectable fantasy performances.

Green Bay Packers

Ground-breaking stuff here. Aaron Rodgers will probably find six to eight different receivers on Sunday against the Buccaneers, as he typically does.

Jennings is his favorite target, but don't forget about Jordy Nelson—a guy that's demonstrated the ability to break a long one and has a knack for the end zone.

Donald Driver is still good for a solid catch in traffic or two, but I think his best fantasy days are behind him.

Maybe Rodgers gets Jermichael Finley into the mix more this week.

Against the Buccaneers at home, a team that's in free fall, the Packers should at least score 30 points.

Detroit Lions

Despite losing two of their last three games, the Lions still have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFC.

I have faith in Matthew Stafford at home, and although Detroit has had their struggles running the football, they're facing Carolina's 28th-ranked run defense that allows more than 137 yards on the ground per game.

The Lions won't win this game with their rushing attack, but it'll set up the play-action pass for Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson in the second half.

Start any Detroit Lions you have this week.

Oakland Raiders

I can't quite figure out who Carson Palmer's favorite wide receiver is just yet, but all of Oakland's pass catchers are speedy and can certainly stretch the field. Jacoby Ford was fantastic against the Broncos two weeks ago, and Denarius Moore had five catches, 123 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders' defeat of the Chargers last Thursday.

What I do know is that the Vikings have the 30th-ranked secondary in the the league.

While the Vikings still boast one of the better run defenses in football, Oakland should once again be successful on the ground with Michael Bush.

Palmer and Bush are must-starts and if you're in a pinch, Ford and Moore are viable WR No. 3 options that represent definite boom-or-bust potential.

(Something tells me the Patriots won't have much trouble with the Chiefs either, but you probably could have guessed that.)
