Jets vs. Broncos Thursday Night: Why Mark Sanchez Is Worse Than Tim Tebow
If you look at it the way I am, Mark Sanchez is worse than Tim Tebow.
Not in terms of being a conventional NFL quarterback, obviously.
Sanchez has a good arm, a quick release and has shown the ability to read opposing defenses presnap and after he drops back to pass.

Who knows if those are things that Tebow will develop with time.
Simply put, the Jets quarterback is "worse" because of the hindrance he is on his team.
He's holding the New York Jets back from being a legitimate Super Bowl contender, while Tebow is only making his team better.
Sure, Tebow's not asked to do as much, but do you really see more from Sanchez as a passer? Obviously, he's more in tune with deciphering coverages, reading blitzes and so on, since he's been a starter longer.
Sure, he can occasionally throw a laser to a receiver across the middle on a deep in route, but are you telling me Tebow can't?
Sanchez is really limited to short slants and dump downs to his running backs and tight ends.
Consistency down the field is something he just doesn't have right now.
However, considering he's more of a traditional drop-back quarterback with good mechanics, in his third season as the starter on a team with a championship caliber defense, isn't it time for him to take the next step?
Can he take the next step?
In the second half, Plaxico Burress and Santonio Holmes seemed disgusted with all the late and errant throws from Sanchez.
Fed up.
Tim Tebow is making the most out of the little he has in terms of being an NFL quarterback, with the skill and talent surrounding him, while Sanchez is failing himself and limiting a team loaded with stars.
Sanchez is not tapping into his own potential and the potential of his team. To me, there's not much worse than that.
