2011 Fantasy Football: NFL Start/Sit Week 11

Ryan LesterNov 18, 2011

Here’s a look at LestersLegends sit and start advice as you set your lineups for the 10th week of the NFL season.

Quarterbacks

Start:
Matt Hasselbeck @ Atlanta: He’s averaging 248.1 ypg and 1.6 passing TDs on the year and 238.3 and 1.3 in his past three games. The Falcons rank 23rd against the pass allowing 253.8 ypg.

Sit:
Andy Dalton @ Baltimore: The Ravens are coming off an embarrassing loss, are playing at home and have allowed just six passing TDs on the year. They also rank sixth against the pass at 194.3 ypg allowed. Dalton has seven TDs in his past three games, but hasn’t hit the 220-yard mark in any of them. This game will be a speed bump in his brilliant rookie season.

Running Backs

Start:
Reggie Bush vs. Buffalo: My man keeps rolling. He didn’t reach 120 total yards like he did in his previous two games, but he scored twice. That’s three TDs in three weeks and an average of 104.3 total yards. Buffalo ranks 22nd against the run at 125.4 ypg allowed and tied for 28th with 11 rushing TDs allowed.

Sit:
LeGarrette Blount @ Green Bay: When the Bucs get behind, they tend to abandon the run. This is a virtual lock to be the case when they take on the Champs. Plus, the Packers have allowed just five rushing TDs, which is tied for sixth best in the league, and rank eighth with 100.4 ypg allowed.

Wide Receivers

Start:
Earl Bennett vs. San Diego: The Chargers have issues in their secondary. Denarius Moore can attest to that. Bennett has 11 catches for 176 yards in the past two games. He’s clicking with Jay Cutler and that should continue this weekend.

Harry Douglas vs. Tennessee: Roddy White continues to struggle and Julio Jones continues to be unhealthy. Meanwhile, Harry Douglas continues to produce. He is averaging 84.0 yards over the past three games.

Sit:
Jerome Simpson @ Baltimore:  He’s scored the past two weeks, but only had a combined four catches for 57 yards. He torched the Ravens in Baltimore in Week 17 last year so you know he’s got the Ravens' full attention.

Tight Ends

Start:
Vernon Davis vs. Arizona: He’s holding his own thanks to four TD grabs, but is averaging just 42.1 ypg (29.0 in his past four games). With seven catches and a score over the past two weeks ,though, it seems like he’s becoming a bigger part of the offense again.

Sit:
Brandon Pettigrew vs. Carolina: Pettigrew has 20 catches in the past four games, which masks his dip in production. He’s averaged just 31.5 ypg over that stretch. He’s only averaged 29.8 ypg at home this year.

Defenses

Start:
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington: While they are playing a division rival on the road, it’s a Redskins team that is struggling to put points on the board. Meanwhile, the Cowboys aren’t having that same problem. Their high-powered offense should make the Redskins one-dimensional and allow DeMarcus Ware to be disruptive.

Sit:
Detroit Lions vs. Carolina: The Lions gave up 37 points to the Bears and now face Cam Newton and Steve Smith who can be explosive.
