WWE Survivor Series: The Rock's Return Will End Up Hurting John Cena's Image
The WWE is not new to passing of the torch moments. That's why I find it hard to fathom the current storyline for John Cena will end in anything but disaster.
The Rock has come back with immense popularity and fanfare. The man is cheered at every turn and brings back waves of emotions that left when he retired.
On the other end is Superstar John Cena, who was booed in his hometown of Boston. This is where things get a little odd to me.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Cena is one of the most popular wrestlers and the supposed face of WWE. The fact is many fans are getting quite tired of him as can be seen in his reception in the bigger arenas.
You look at someone like The Rock who gets nearly every last fan up and chanting and then you pair him with John Cena, one thing is bound to happen. One of those wrestlers is going to shrink in the eyes of fans and it's not going to be The Rock.
We still have no idea what's in store for both men going into what should be an epic Survivor Series. But win or lose, the men have to at some point turn on one another before WrestleMania.
It's at that point that the world will chose a side. With the temperature in the room being what it is, I expect that most fans will side with The Rock.
So then what happens when the inevitable occurs. The Rock has not committed to the WWE full time. With movies slated well into 2013, I expect him to retire once again or play only a bit part in future storylines.
So then what do you have? You have a John Cena that most of the world just rooted against leading the cause.
That is why someone else is bound to step up as the face of WWE for mainstream fans to follow. That, or there is a subplot I have not yet thought of.
If things continue in this way, John Cena will struggle to find any fan willing to chant his name.
