WWE Survivor Series 2011: Randy Orton and Wade Barrett Will Have a Great Feud

Donald WoodNov 19, 2011

Unfortunately for Randy Orton, it seems that Cody Rhodes just isn’t ready for the main-event spotlight. There may be someone who is ready, though.

Wade Barrett.

The 25th anniversary of Survivor Series at Madison Square Garden in New York City is as bright as the lights will get, and Orton will be testing out how his next big feud will go.

Whether we like it or not, Orton is a serious contender for the top billing on every card, and to possibly feud with the star is a big achievement.

The importance of Barrett grows by the day with the news that Christian will out for awhile with an injury.

That leaves Barrett as the biggest heel left on SmackDown and right in the cross-hairs of Orton.

Don’t get me wrong, Orton is one of the best in the business, but his style on the mic can be boring.

Barrett has the potential to make Orton less boring.

Not only can Barrett personify the heel in the ring, it is his work on the microphone that has fans giving the star heat. If Barrett can keep getting that heat, the duo of Orton and Barrett could blow the lid of a place like Madison Square Garden.

The problem is that in a traditional Survivor Series match the two wont wrestle as much as we’d like, but the crowd reaction will go a long way in telling the fans whether this feud is a long-term storyline or a one-trick pony.

Someone has to save RKO from himself.
