NFL Week 11 Picks: Bad Teams That Will Give Us Good Games

Michael DixonNov 18, 2011

You don't need two good teams to have a good game. You don't need a good David vs. Goliath story to have a good game.

Nope, if two bad teams match up against each other, chances are good that we'll see a good game, right? They may not be the prettiest of games and they're certainly not playoff previews, but it doesn't mean that we can't see a quality game that's exciting until the very end.

As fans, what more can we ask for?

Well, these games set up along those very lines.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns

These two teams are too similar for their own good. Both have a hard time generating any offense, while both are still quite capable on the defensive side of the ball.

This will not be a game for offense lovers to watch. But if you're not an offense lover and are just looking for a game that will be competitive for all four quarters, this is about as good an option as there is this week.

I like the Jaguars to pull through in this one, but it won't be by much.

Prediction: Jaguars 14, Browns 10

I know that right now the Bills aren't a bad team, but they are rapidly headed in that direction. They are getting knocked around pretty good right now and desperately need a win to stay in playoff contention.

Now, I see them getting that win this week, although the playoffs will not include the Bills.

But the Dolphins are now playing with a little bit of confidence. It's amazing what two wins will do for you.

Again, the Bills don't have the guns for a complete playoff run, but their chances will improve this week.

Prediction: Bills 23, Dolphins 17

The battle for second place in the NFC West is shaping up to be rather epic. The Seahawks defend the run very well, while the Rams' defense has a very capable pass rush.

Neither of those formulas ever sets up particularly well for a blowout, and we're not going to see one in this game.

I don't like the punch that either team has. Much like the Jaguars vs. Browns affair, I am looking for a low scoring game. In this one, I expect the home team to prevail.

Prediction: Rams 19, Seahawks 14
