NFL Week 11 Picks: Predicting QBs Who Will Have Their Teams Flying High

Zach KruseNov 17, 2011

The following five NFL teams will be led to wins in Week 11 by big performances from their starting quarterbacks:

Green Bay Packers 35, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17

Aaron Rodgers has struggled in the past against the Bucs (0-2 career as a starter, six interceptions), but can even history stop him right now? The hottest quarterback in the game should continue to roll against a poor pass defense. Booking him for 250-plus yards and four scores isn't all that risky anymore.

Detroit Lions 24, Carolina Panthers 17

We've quietly learned that the Lions dance to the beat of Matthew Stafford's drum. When he is protected, the Lions are a tough offense to stop. They can control the flow of games and turn mistakes into points in a hurry. We're banking on the Lions keeping Stafford upright against the Panthers at home.

Oakland Raiders 31, Minnesota Vikings 13

Carson Palmer takes aim on a secondary that is as thin as any in the NFL right now. Antoine Winfield is done for the season and Chris Cook is still awaiting his legal future. The position is so thin that the team brought back Benny Sapp. Through all the injuries and suspensions, the Vikings have given up the second most touchdown passes in the NFL this season. Palmer should feel confident heading into the Metrodome to put up big numbers.

New York Giants 30, Philadelphia Eagles 13

The Eagles really need Michael Vick to have his team flying high on Sunday night, but I think it'll be Eli Manning that leads his team to a big win. The Giants should be able to run the ball on Philly, and Manning can use that to beat the Eagles deep with play-action.

New England Patriots 28, Kansas City Chiefs 10

Tom Brady vs. Tyler Palko doesn't sound like much of a quarterback battle, and Palko's inexperience at the position should give Brady a few extra possessions on Monday night. They'll be able to throw for a big lead with Brady before running out the clock in the fourth quarter.
