Survivor Series 2011: Is John Cena's Status in Jeopardy for Sunday's PPV?

The wrestling world may have some huge news just come across their twitter feed. With John Cena tweeting out today that he has to miss his work on ESPN’s College Game Day this Saturday due to a personal reason.  

Now, this may not be anything, as Cena has a busy schedule. However, what Cena said in that tweet as to why he is missing Game Day has to be alarming. The main reason being that Cena has some immediate family “bizzz” to take care of.  

Family business is never a good thing. Now, it’s not like Cena has a broken leg or hand or tore anything. However, this issue with his family was serious enough to make him ditch his media commitment three days in advance of the taping.  

Now, I am not in any way saying what the family issue is with Cena. It’s his personal issue, and we have to respect the man’s privacy.  

However, what we can speculate is that this maybe something major. We saw in Cena’s WWE Movie “The John Cena Experience” that Cena hardly turns down a media appearance.  

In the documentary of what Cena goes through in a week leading up to a major pay-per-view, we see him making time to fit everything in. He was in the Fiesta Bowl parade, and then he did the ceremonial coin toss before the game. Not to mention, fitting in his WWE responsibilities in the media and on Monday Night RAW for the build to his WrestleMania match.  

It seems like the only thing that can stop the machine that is Cena is either injury, which that sometimes doesn’t stop him, or something major in his personal life.  

We still do not know what happened to Cena’s family, or what the main reason is to his media cancellation aside from family issues.  

Let’s hope that whatever it is, is not serious enough for Cena not being able to compete this Sunday at Survivor Series.  

Hopefully this just turns out to be a minor issue that Cena is dealing with.
