However, she's now not just a soccer icon, she's one of the most popular female athletes in the entire country. She won the nation over with her performances in the US' magical run in the Women's World Cup and tapped into an entirely different fanbase in DWTS.

Nobody is ever going to be Mia Hamm, but the fact that Solo has been able to elevate her stock so rapidly from the keeper position is nothing short of incredible.

With the Olympics right around the corner, Solo will be in the spotlight once again. This time, Team USA will have the support of their country like never before as they battle it out with the world.
