WWE Survivor Series 2011: 8 Things About the Mark Henry-Big Show Match
I am quite disappointed in how the WWE has put together a PPV event and has worked so hard to bury its two world title matches.
I suppose creative thought The Rock and John Cena were more important (and in some ways, they are) than promoting title matches.
So, we have Big Show and Mark Henry going at it again in a PPV event that should tell us a few things about the state of the heavyweight division in the WWE.
This is the type of match Vince McMahon would love: big, strong wrestlers getting in the ring where they beat the holy hell out of each other.
What more could you ask for?
Here are eight things you need to know about this confrontation.
8. Randy Orton Has a Vested Interest
1 of 8Randy Orton will be feuding with Wade Barrett for a while. But you have to know Orton still has his sights on becoming a world champion again.
Orton is still the cornerstone of Smackdown and needs another title run in the future.
7. Wade Barrett Has a Vested Interest as Well
2 of 8Barrett was down but not out a few weeks ago. And look at him now.
Maybe we will finally see Barrett rise to the top of the Smackdown ladder.
His size and strength alone make him a challenge for anyone, especially someone like Henry or Big Show.
6. Sheamus Will Face the Winner
3 of 8You know the writing is all over this wall.
Sheamus needs a title run soon.
The Great White and Wade Barrett are running neck and neck in terms of heat and success of late.
But Sheamus should be the anointed one.
5. This Will Be the Last Time We See This Happen
4 of 8You also have to figure there will be other contenders until the end of the year and heading into the new year to challenge either man.
Scratch that. If Big Show wins, Mark Henry challenges him again.
If Henry wins, there will be another angle immediately.
4. Nothing Goes According to Plan
5 of 8The ring collapses in the last match.
A side of a steel cage collapses months ago.
Seems like something always happens with these two.
We shall wait and see.
3. Will Big Show Win and Then Daniel Bryan Cash His MITB Ticket?
6 of 8That is a strong possibility.
I see Bryan taking a heel turn any time now.
Survivor Series would be the optimal place to do it.
2. Could We See Kane?
7 of 8I hope so. I think there will be some mayhem, but Kane won't be involved.
Kane will show his face some time near the end of the year.
1. Mark Henry Needs to Retain the Title
8 of 8Just like Alberto Del Rio, Mark Henry is a great heel champion and needs a good solid run through the new year.
That allows Kane to come in and shake the universe.
It also gives someone like Christian to possibly get back into the title picture if a face takes the strap.
