WWE Survivor Series 2011: 13 Bold Predictions for the Upcoming PPV

A.D. Christian VitaleNov 18, 2011

WWE Survivor Series 2011 is almost upon us and there's a lot of questions that fans want answered.

Today, I am going to list 13 predictions that I see happening this Sunday.

These predictions are based off of current WWE story lines and backstage news. This list is in no particular order.

*This list does not include all the predictions I think will happen.

Zack Ryder Will Not Win the United States Championship

1 of 14

The WWE has really been all over the place with the booking of Zack Ryder.

After becoming the contender for the United States Championship, many fans believed that the WWE would finally give Ryder a singles title.

However, after his failed attempt to capture the gold at Vengeance, it looks like he will not get a rematch anytime soon.

According to WWE.com, Dolph Ziggler will be facing John Morrison and not Zack Ryder at Survivor Series.

Sorry, but it looks like the Long Island Iced Z is going to have to wait a bit longer.

The Mark Henry vs. Big Show Feud Will Not End Here

2 of 14

At Vengeance, we witnessed a great feat of strength by Mark Henry.

After superplexing Big Show from the top ropes, it caused the ring to implode. Because both men could not continue the match, Mark Henry retained.

Now, many fans expected this to be the final encounter between these two. Unfortunately, I'm here to say otherwise.

According to Wrestlenewz.com, Mark Henry is slated to face the Big Show again.

It looks like this feud is far from over.

Triple H vs. Kevin Nash Will Not Happen

3 of 14

With six matches already booked for Survivor Series,  and the lack of buildup for this story line, expect for this match not to happen.

According to PWInsider.com, Triple H vs. Kevin Nash is slated for TLC.

It is unlikely that Triple H will wrestle back to back pay-per-views, but I wouldn't be surprised if Triple H makes his return at Survivor Series to continue the angle.

Team Barrett Will Defeat Team Orton

4 of 14

Besides Mark Henry, there are not any heels that are considered a 'threat'.

With that being said, WWE really needs to make sure that the heels win this year at Survivor Series.

An extra win for the baby faces might seem like a good idea in the short term, but the WWE will have more options long term if Team Barrett gets the victory.

Beth Phoenix Will Retain

5 of 14

Beth Phoenix vs. Eve is the one Divas match at this year's Survivor Series.

If WWE was smart, they would have Beth retain and have a long championship reign.

Not much else I have to say about this.

Alberto Del Rio Will Retain

6 of 14

WWE creative can be a bit out there sometimes with the direction of their story lines, but this answer couldn't be any simpler.

For Alberto Del Rio to be credible, he needs to have legitimate wins to retain the WWE Championship.

At Survivor Series however, expect the same finish as always to the WWE Championship match:

(Opponent A) is about to defeat Alberto Del Rio, then Ricardo Rodriguez interferes. Match over.

This finish sets up a rematch at TLC. According to Wrestlenewz.com, ADR vs. CM Punk will have a match for the WWE Championship.

It's all food for thought.

Mick Foley Will Play a Role in the Main Event

7 of 14

On an Exclusive on WWE.com, Mick Foley weighed in on his opinion about both The Rock and John Cena.

Near the end of the interview, Mick Foley hinted that he may be a special guest referee at Survivor Series.

This may be WWE creative's way to throw us off. However, if this was true, then Mick Foley could play a huge role in the outcome of the main event on Sunday.

Undertaker and Kane Do Not Return

8 of 14

Sorry to everyone who is thinking that one of these two will return at Survivor Series, but I just don't see it happening.

Most people are under the assumption that The Undertaker will not be ready to return until early next year, regardless of what recent rumors are saying.

Kane, who was supposed to be returning anytime, might not return until next year's Royal Rumble (according to various reports).

We will have to wait and see.

Zack Ryder Will Have a Role on Sunday

9 of 14

If you haven't noticed how much Zack Ryder is over with fans, then you obviously haven't been watching RAW.

For the WWE not to have him play a part on Sunday would be a huge loss.

Ryder needs to be put in the U.S. title match or get some type of promo.

If not, I know a lot of New York fans who will be very angry.

There Will Be a Major Heel/Face Turn

10 of 14

There has already been some excellent turns for the better so far in 2011.

I expect to see at least one more occur before the year is up.

Why not make it at a Big Four PPV?

WWE Will Not Add Another Match

11 of 14

With six matches currently on the pay per view, there is little chance the WWE will add another match.

On top of that, most key players currently in the WWE already have a match.

I think allowing those matches to receive a good amount of time would make for a better show to watch.

The Rock and John Cena Will Lose Against Awesome Truth

12 of 14

If the Rock and John Cena win, what does that prove?

That two major stars can get over all of their differences and defeat two of the biggest heels in the WWE today? Wrong.

It proves that WWE creative has lost it.

If Cena and Rock win, not only will it take credibility away from Awesome Truth, but it will also restrict that amount of storyline options WWE has moving forward.

Cena Will Not Turn Heel

13 of 14

I will agree with the masses that his feud with the Rock is the perfect opportunity to turn Cena heel.

However, with no indication that it will happen (based on current WWE television), expect for Cena to stay baby face for now.
