Penn State Scandal: Alleged Victim Testifying Proves Sandusky Won't Get off Easy

Ryan RudnanskyNov 16, 2011

As the nightmare that is the Penn State scandal continues, the lawyer of one of Jerry Sandusky's alleged victims is saying that his client is prepared to testify in court.

Sandusky, Penn State's former defensive coordinator, is charged with sexually abusing eight young boys in a period of 15 years.

The attorney, Ben Andreozzi, broke the news just two days after Sandusky attempted to defend himself in an interview with NBC's Bob Costas on TV.

Said Andreozzi in a statement, via the AP:

"

"I am appalled by the fact that Mr. Sandusky has elected to re-victimize these young men at a time when they should be healing. He fully intends to testify that he was severely sexually assaulted by Mr. Sandusky."

"

Details continue to emerge about the scandal, which has seen Graham Spanier fired as president and legendary coach Joe Paterno fired for allegedly being involved in covering up Sandusky's alleged doings.

Now one thing is certain. Sandusky is certainly not going to get off easy. He was already facing backlash from the nation after being arrested on Nov. 5. Getting confirmation that at least one of his alleged victims will speak out in court solidifies the fact that Sandusky is headed for an uphill battle.

However, Sandusky's lawyer, Joe Amendola, addressed that fact, speaking with Costas on Monday night.

Said Amendola:

"

"We anticipate we're going to have at least several of those kids come forward and say `This never happened. This is me. This is the allegation. It never occurred.'"

"

It's hard to fathom the alleged victims making Sandusky look good in court. According to the grand jury report, Sandusky did some monstrous things while others shamelessly looked on.

All sorts of allegations have been thrown around since Sandusky's arrest, and some aren't backed up by evidence or testimony yet, but you can bet if Sandusky is guilty of the charges, his actions will be uncovered.
