WWE Survivor Series 2011: When Will WWE Push Zack Ryder?

Spoiler alert for those of you who haven’t read or seen the publication, PWInsider. They announced a match for Dolph Zigglers’ United States Championship at the 2011 Survivor Series. You would think it would be the Internet Champion, Long Island Iced-Z Zack Ryder facing Ziggler. But sadly, you would be wrong. 

Yes, I’m sorry to report this, but even with Ryder’s online petition he was passed over for John Morrison. 

Wait, Morrison, are you serious bro? Isn’t that the guy who was recently jobbed out to Alberto Del Rio in a two-minute match on RAW? 

Yes, I am serious. Even with all of Ryder’s online signatures begging for another shot at the US Title, he was passed over. It’s just another example of the WWE not giving Ryder a shot, even with the crowd begging for it. 

If this would have been 38 weeks ago and Ryder would have been passed over, then I would be fine with it. Back then he was a no-name talent that was famous for wearing tights that had one full pant leg and one short. Back then he was getting punk’d by RAW guests hosts, like Ashton Kutcher. 

Now, we are 38 weeks later and Ryder is one of the hottest baby faces in the company. His web show, “Z True Long Island Story” has been the driving force to Ryder’s popularity. 

Each week viewers get a small window into Ryder’s life in Long Island and on the road with the WWE. However, it isn’t Ryder who has benefited from the show. Z True Long Island Story has helped Ziggler emerge with the catch phrase “Hash Tag Heel.” Along with launching Ryder’s “Broski” The Big-O’s wrestling career. 

Since the show has come out, The Big-O has a budding career in wrestling, while Ryder has a new legion of fans, aka “Broskis.” The WWE has taken a little notice, as Ryder has partnered with John Cena in recent RAW main events. 

Yet, when it comes to this Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view- Ryder is left off the card. Not to mention, the event is being held in New York City, which would give Ryder the huge ovation if he was in a match. 

The time is now to push Ryder to a main championship. The fans clearly want it and the push to Ryder would result in big business for the company. 

Woo Woo Woo.....you know it!
