Week 11 Waiver Wire: Harry Douglas and Others to Add

John RozumNov 15, 2011

Regardless of your current position in fantasy football, it's never a bad thing to end the season on a strong note. For one, even if your out of the playoffs, the spoiler-role can provide you with some vindication as the season comes to an end.

So with getting better in mind, here are four players to add before Week 11.

Harry Douglas: WR, Falcons

Atlanta WR Harry Douglas may have had an outlining performance in Week 10 as he caught eight passes for 133 yards and one TD versus the Saints. And it's reasonable to suspect that Douglas isn't an appealing addition, however, he has been productive when healthy.

That being said, the Falcons have a diverse array of targets in Julio Jones, Roddy White and TE Tony Gonzalez. The question though, is how can defenses slow down all four when Douglas is rolling?

Better yet, what about Atlanta's solid ground game with RB Michael Turner? Therefore, adding Douglas is the right decision because not only is he on the ride, but the Falcons offense is gaining strength.

John Skelton: QB, Cardinals

In two games as the starter John Skelton is 2-0 this season and the Cardinals currently ride a two-game win streak into San Francisco. Last week Skelton threw three TDs and over 300 yards against the Eagles in Philly, so it's obvious tough crowds don't affect him.

Now, if you're just in a one-QB league don't start him this week but if your league starts two QBs Skelton isn't a bad option. The 49ers may have a solid pass rush and run defense, but the Eagles had a stout pass defense and respectable pass rush.

So in some sense Skelton isn't going up against a defense in San Fran that's vehemently better than Philly, and who can stop Larry Fitzgerald on the 49ers? There's your answer.

Donald Brown: RB, Colts

Indianapolis may be on a bye this week, however it's not a bad idea to take a gander at RB Donald Brown. For one he's been rather productive in recent weeks and is the better option for the Colts at RB over Delone Carter.

In Week 12 the Colts host the Panthers, too, which is a favorable matchup since Carolina allows almost 140 rushing yards per game. Not to mention if Indy wants to win No. 1 running the football is a must, so expect Brown to plow ahead for some respectable fantasy numbers.

Also, don't discount Brown just because he's on the 0-10 Colts. If there's anything Indy can do on offense it's run the football.

Matt Moore: QB, Dolphins

He may not have played particularly well against the Redskins in Week 10, but Miami QB Matt Moore has the Dolphins feeling a bit more confident again.

For one, the 'Fins have ran off two straight and play host to the vulnerable Buffalo Bills with the No. 27 and No. 23 ranked pass and rush defense, respectively. Hence, it's reasonable to suspect Moore will play well.

Now obviously Moore isn't your first choice when starting a QB, even if he is playing the Bills, but consider the matchup especially if your league starts two QBs. Plus if you're desperate for a win to remain alive in the playoff race, Moore could be the wild-card addition that saves your season.
