Week 11 Waiver Wire: Expert Advice for Every Fantasy Football Roster

Chris TrapassoNov 15, 2011

Fantasy football is entering its most critical weeks, when spots in the postseason are up for grabs and every lineup decision is magnified in its importance.

Week 10 treated us to no byes and Week 11 is the final bye week of the season.

The Colts, Saints, Texans and Steelers are off this weekend.

For those of you looking to replace Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees or the injured Matt Schaub, there are certainly quarterbacks out there that can produce for you in your Week 11 matchup.

Josh Freeman has been a disappointment this season, but it's likely his Buccaneers will fall behind against the Packers and we've seen how susceptible Green Bay's defense has been to the pass this season.

Tarvaris Jackson is another suggestion. The Rams have the worst run defense in the league and they aren't exceptional against the pass, either.

It is likely that Seattle will run frequently with Marshawn Lynch, who's one of my best running back starts this week, but if Jackson manages the game well like he did against the Ravens, he could be in for a respectable game himself.

It will be interesting to see how the Jets and Broncos matchup plays out. I fully expect Denver to employ their run-heavy attack on New York and think it could be successful because it keeps the ball away from the Jets' secondary.

Don't be afraid to start Tim Tebow if you are in a pinch. He's essentially a goal line back and will pick up yards on the ground all game.

Chris Johnson owners, beware. Yeah, I know it's been a tough year for you. The Falcons have the fourth-ranked run defense in football and are much better at home.

The same goes for Andy Dalton owners. A.J. Green should play, but will he be 100 percent? I'm not sure if I trust the rookie signal caller on the road in Baltimore.

Then again, I don't trust Joe Flacco either.

Brandon Marshall is a great play this week against a Bills secondary that takes the ball away, but is susceptible to major yardage through the air.

Although their offensive line is banged up, Fred Jackson is another top play as well, but don't be surprised to see C.J. Spiller get more touches as Buffalo's offense looks to get out of its funk.

Lastly, I don't see Philip Rivers breaking out of his slump this week. He's in windy Chicago with a ravished offensive line that's facing Julius Peppers.

Yikes.
