After a couple of really terrible seasons in golf,  Tiger Woods found his way to the top of the leaderboard after two rounds of the Emirates Australian Open. After a disappointing 75 in round three, he came back with a fourth round 67 and hung on for a third place finish. He had a legit chance to win.  Hello 2012!

1. Newest Hall of Famer

Phil Mickelson, elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame on first ballot with 72 percent of the vote, the highest since Greg Norman was elected in 2001 with 80 percent. Mickelson became eligible for induction when he turned 40 last year.  

“I'm excited to be part of the Hall of Fame that has the names of the greats of the game that I looked up idolizing and many of them that I've had a chance to compete against early in my career, and to be a part of that group is a special feeling,” Mickelson said.
