Matt Schaub Injury: Matt Leinart Set to Start with Schaub in Walking Boot
When Matt Leinart chose not to join his old head coach Pete Carroll in Seattle in the offseason and instead headed to Houston, it had a lot of people scratching their heads, given he would have a had a better chance of starting with the Seahawks.
Well, it appears Leinart is going to get the opportunity to start, anyway.
After Texans quarterback Matt Schaub injured his foot against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, head coach Gary Kubiak is saying Schaub will "miss some time," per Pro Football Talk.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Schaub will be in a walking boot this week after he caught his foot in a pile in the first half on Sunday, and now Leinart is next in line to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12.
The good news for the Texans is they have a bye this week, which means Leinart will get more time to prepare for their next game. Also good news: they face the 3-6 Jaguars next.
Leinart has widely been considered a bust since being drafted No. 10 overall in the 2006 NFL Draft, going on to disappoint with the Arizona Cardinals before getting picked up by the Texans this offseason. Time is running out for Leinart to become a starting quarterback in the NFL, and many believe that time has already passed.
Leinart is faced with keeping the 7-3 Texans in contention while Schaub is out. They lead a struggling AFC South, with the second-place team being the 5-4 Tennessee Titans.
After the Jaguars, the Texans face the 5-4 Atlanta Falcons and the defensive-minded 6-3 Cincinnati Bengals.
Let's just say Leinart better figure things out quick if Schaub misses an extended period of time.
He has the offensive weapons to do so, along with an offensive line that has allowed only 16 sacks this season.
No excuses this time around.
