WWE Survivor Series 2011: Picking the Winner of Each Match
Hey Fellow Bleachers! With Survivor Series less than a week away, only four matches have been advertised. What follows are my picks and opinions of who should win each match. Feel free to comment on whether you agree or not with my choices. Thanks for reading.
The Rock & John Cena vs. Awesome Truth:
This match is the reason most people will order this pay-per-view. This could easily be the match of the night due to the people involved. That being said, I think storyline-wise, Awesome Truth will win this match and it can happen in a number of different ways. The Rock could turn on Cena, Cena could turn on The Rock, or—hopefully—Awesome Truth gets the clean win and it causes a blow up between Cena and The Rock to begin the feud to their epic WrestleMania match. So much could happen with this outcome and I'll leave it up to the readers to speculate your own outcomes.

Team Orton vs. Team Barrett:
This match is hardest for me to decide due to the sheer number of participants. Several of the members of Barrett's team could use the push that comes with being the survivors of their team, Barrett most of all. Swagger and Hunico could both use some building as well, so if WWE doesn't want them to survive, at least allow them to stay towards the end of the match. The only one on Orton's team that really needs the win to help them out would be Mason Ryan. All the other members of the team are well established enough to be fine coming out with a loss, except Sin Cara, who will have enough crowd pleasing offense in the match that it probably won't matter if he doesn't survive. With all that being taken into account, I pick Barrett and Swagger to be the sole survivors.
Mark Henry vs. Big Show:
The addition of Daniel Bryan into the fold of this rivalry has several intriguing possibilities swirling in my head. If he is not involved in any way, I pick Mark Henry to retain. If Henry can get away from Show one more time with a win, he will look completely unstoppable heading into his next feud, which for all intents and purposes, will be Sheamus from the looks of things. Their feud could carry into next year and eventually lead to Bryan cashing in at WrestleMania as he has stated before. For this to elevate Bryan into the stratusphere, Henry needs to retain until then.
CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio:
I'm probably going to catch some heat for this, but Alberto Del Rio needs to walk out of Survivor Series with the WWE Title. His credibility has fallen so far that CM Punk could be one of the few that can elevate him back up. For this to happen, he needs to be beaten cleanly by Del Rio a couple of times and create some interest in the feud. Yes, Punk has had a tough time as of late in regards to wins on pay-per-views, but he is along the lines of Jericho as with one promo, he can undo any damage caused by a loss. If he looks dominant on Raw in between these losses it shouldn't hurt him, and I predict a win and lengthy reign as champ from Royal Rumble on.
So these are my choices for what I think should happen. They are only my opinion and I certainly welcome yours. Thanks for reading.
