Norv Turner and Andy Reid Don't Deserve to Return Next Season
Norv Turner and Andy Reid are two high-profile coaches that don't deserve to return next season.
Both men are legendary offensive coordinators who have a penchant for finding and developing top-notch talent that specifically fits their scheme. They are also both legendary for not being able to win the big games with said talent.
This season, circumstances have highlighted the deficiencies of both Norv Turner and Andy Reid.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
For Andy Reid, expectations couldn't have been higher as the season began. After all, the Philadelphia Eagles were the consensus run-away winners of the ever-prestigious free-agency signing period. Everyone remembers that Nnamdi Asomugha was the top prize, but the Eagles' other signings were just as impressive.
But those who understand the nuances of the NFL game knew that the Eagles might run into some difficulties when asked to put all those pieces together in such a way that the whole unit functions together. Besides the whole issue of team chemistry, which should never be discounted, the real question mark was whether or not career offensive line coach, Juan Castillo, could somehow learn how to coordinate an NFL defense.
The short answer to that question is an emphatic, "no." The long answer is that the Eagles' issues are much more complicated than Juan Castillo's inexperience. Someone needs to explain to me how in the world Reid convinced Eagles ownership that this would be a good idea.
The real issue is that Reid made the call, and he bears the responsibility.
I have a particular fondness for the incredible trades that he pulled off, though, getting the Redskins and Cardinals to hand over a chestful of gold for a few coppers. That being said, the Eagles aren't too far off from being in the same boat as the Indianapolis Colts, from a mismanagement perspective.
And now on to my favorite head coach, Norv Turner. As a devout San Francisco 49ers fan, I was livid when Norv decided to ditch the up-and-coming 49ers team after one year as an offensive coordinator.
When the 49ers signed him, I was certain the team had finally found its answer to half a decade of offensive ineptitude. After his embarrassing attempt to rescue the Washington Redskins failed miserably, I was under the assumption that he would be content in the knowledge that head coaching doesn't suit him.
Turner is undoubtedly one of the greatest offensive minds to have influenced the game of NFL football. He is not, however, a particularly good head coach.
The two of these men, Turner and Reid, should get an award for doing the least with the most. Their rosters are loaded with talent. Can you imagine a team like the St. Louis Rams playing as lousy as the Chargers and the Eagles with the same level of ability to work with?
Their time is up. It's time to go.
