WWE Survivor Series 2011: Will The Rock Deliver a Great Main Event?

Survivor Series 2011 is almost upon us.

While the buildup for the PPV has been somewhat lackluster, many people are excited to see The Rock back in the ring for the first time in seven years. That alone will generate many PPV buys.

The burning question is: "Will he deliver in the main event?"

The answer is a resounding "Yes!"

For those of you who may disagree, hear me out. Rocky may possibly be in the best shape of his life right now. Most of his days are spent training to look supremely jacked in his movies. He is also the consummate professional.

Even though he may not have been in the ring on television lately, you can guarantee that The Rock, knowing he is in the main event, has been hitting the ropes somewhere. Whether you like him or not, you have to agree he definitely "brings it" while in the ring.

This could be the exact reason that he hasn't been on TV lately.

He could be creating doubt as to whether he will be ready. He could also just be fine tuning and getting rid of the ring rust before he steps back into the ring in a televised capacity.

Even if he isn't 100 percent ready, a tag match setting is perfect to hide any major deficiencies in his ring ability. As per the standard, if traditional booking takes effect, Cena will take a huge beating only to hot tag The Rock, and so on and so on.

If that's the case, Cena will be in the ring most of the time.

I personally expect The Rock to be at or extremely close to the top of his game. He is, after all, the most electrifying man in all of entertainment. He loves the WWE and respects the audience too much to come and put on a lousy performance.

He is also very aware that this is the 25th anniversary of the Survivor Series. Add that to the fact that it's being held in Madison Square Garden, and anybody can see that The Rock will no doubt be ready for this match.

Many people's expectations for this match are very, very high. Everybody watching is expecting to see something massively newsworthy develop from this match.

The Rock turns on Cena. Cena turns on The Rock and becomes heel. Awesome Truth does the unthinkable and beats them, causing a huge blow-up between Cena and Rocky.

The Rock understands the wrestling landscape like few do. He knows the magnitude of this event and the expectations of him, and he will ultimately deliver big time in the main event.
