Manny Pacquiao: 10 Things He'll Do This Week After Crushing Juan Manuel Marquez

Manny Pacquiao has bested his rival Juan Manuel Marquez in their heated trilogy. Now what?

Well, there are tons of things for Pacquiao to catch up on. There are things for him to watch, learn and deals to be made (Mayweather dream fight anyone?).

Let's look into the ten likeliest possibilities of what Pacquiao will be doing now that he's beaten Marquez.

10. Study Tapes of the Fight with Trainer Freddie Roach

Manny Pacquiao will be going back to school with head coach Freddie Roach. Roach will likely look into his pupil's third fight to dissect the mistakes and create a plan to fix those ASAP.

If Pacquiao is to have a showdown with Floyd Mayweather, he'll need to rid himself of whatever caused the less than stellar fight against Marquez. Roach may have the right formula.

9. Talk to Bob Arum About a Fight with Floyd Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao is tired of Floyd Mayweather Jr. He likely wants that fight signed as soon as possible. It wouldn't be surprising to see him talk to his promoter Bob Arum about arranging that fight.

Pacquiao isn't getting any younger; nor is Mayweather. Pacquiao turns 33 next month; Mayweather turns 35 next February.

Age effects everyone differently, so it's either now or never.

8. Spy on His Family's Birthday Plans

Manny Pacquiao's birthday is a month away, so that means it's time to spy on everyone to see what gifts he will be receiving. 

The wife might have something in the closet. The kids might be creating something out of glue, crayons and cardboard. Buboy and Roach might even have some fun things to give their all-time favorite fighter.

Birthday time will be fun and the planning stage will be the best part.

7. Spend Some Quality Time with His Wife

Manny Pacquiao said that he refrains from sex 21 days before a fight. Well, it's the week after and there's not a fight for months.

I suspect Pacquiao and his wife will take a lovely "trip" before we hear from Pacquiao again.

6. Get Back to Congressional Business

Manny Pacquiao has a job as a congressman in the Philippines and it will demand his attention now that his fight is over and done with.

Pacquiao will likely attend meetings, sign papers and overlook plans to best perform his congressional duties with political hopes as high as the presidency.

5. Plot His Post-Boxing Career

Manny Pacquiao has to be looking ahead. The world of boxing is not the end-all be-all for Pacquiao.

He's already a politician. He's a celebrity to his home country and his endorsement deals are through the roof.

After his performance, Pacquiao has to know he can't do this too much longer. Pacquiao doesn't even appear as motivated to fight as he once was. The hunger is different, if not gone.

Perhaps the presidency of the Philippines is what he truly hungers for.

4. Sing a Song

Manny Pacquiao loves to sing. His Jimmy Kimmel tradition is to sing every time he's on the show.

From songs like Imagine and his rendition of How Deep Is Your Love, Pacquiao loves singing. He's released singles in his home country before and could be working on his next project.

3. Debating with Roach and Arum over Marquez Rematch or Mayweather Dream Fight

Freddie Roach believes there should be a rematch.

Bob Arum also wants an immediate rematch.

But what does Manny Pacquiao want?

And does Juan Manuel Marquez really want a rematch? He's currently mulling retirement out of frustration, similar to Marvin Hagler in 1987 when he faced Sugar Ray Leonard.

The four of them may get in contact with one another to discuss the possibility of rematching as soon as possible.

2. Go to Foot Therapy

Manny Pacquiao's "leg cramps" have plagued him for at least two fights so far. In the Shane Mosley fight, they produced an inability to go for the kill. Against Marquez, they produced an inability to go for the win.

If these leg cramps are as disruptive to Pacquiao's winning ways as he believes, an immediate visit to the doctor is necessary.

1. Speak to Floyd Mayweather Directly

Manny Pacquiao wants to fight Mayweather; that I believe. Arum may not want or have the ability and patience to land him that deal, mostly in part to the bad blood between Arum and Mayweather.

Pacquiao may have to come to Mayweather himself as a man and verbally agree first to the testing in order to get the dream fight that everyone wants to see.

Pacquiao's recent win(?) over Marquez obscures his recent accomplishments and casts a shadow over his career's alleged superiority over Mayweather's.

Only one thing can settle that: A May 5th showdown.
