Vernon Davis Video: Watch 49ers TE Leap into End Zone for Go-Ahead TD

Vernon Davis is a lot of things. A human is not one of them.

The physical freak caught a 31-yard pass and encountered Antrel Rolle at the end zone. Rather than go through the defender, he chose to exercise his gift of flight and skyrocket over him.

He went in for the score and put the 49ers up, 20-13. The game has been back and forth, and both teams failed to produce a touchdown in the first half.

Davis is a physical freak, and Rolle really had no chance. He could have steamrolled him, but he wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to show off his hops.

The second half is a different story, though. Even with Frank Gore banged up, the 49ers are managing to really get it going.

At the forefront of the 49ers' success is their pair of tight ends, who put forth one of the best TE tandems in the entire NFL. Delanie Walker is leading the team with 67 yards receiving, and that strike gives Davis 40 yards and a touchdown.

Their run game is struggling, but their receivers and defense are making up for their woes on the ground.

The 49ers are leading the division by five games, and though the rest of the division was overly impressive today, it's hard to imagine anyone catching San Francisco.

Now, it's about earning a first-round bye and home field advantage to make their postseason life easier. There are a number of talented teams in the NFC, including the Giants, but Davis' heroics highlight just how tough the Niners are going to be to stop.
