Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3: Controversial Ending Will Lead to 4th Fight

Josh SchochNov 13, 2011

Manny Pacquiao won Saturday's fight against Juan Manuel Marquez in controversial fashion once again, and this will lead to a fourth bout between these two fighters.

"Pac-Man" and "Dinamita" have never been able to definitively show us which is the better fighter. Through 36 rounds of boxing, they remain as closely matched as they were before they fought.

While Pacquiao has the edge according to record (2-0-1), there has not been a fight that has proven which fighter is better.

Marquez feels that he has been robbed of victory all three times in this trilogy, and the 38-year-old is itching to fight Pac-Man again.

It will be tough for him to retire with this unfinished business hanging over his head. When Pacquiao was asked if he would fight Marquez for a fourth time he said, "Anytime."

Pacquiao has the spirit of a fighter in the fact that he will fight anyone at anytime because that is his job. He will not be the one to end conversations about a fourth fight between these two, so it will be up to Marquez.

Marquez will surely be open to another fight because he truly believes he can beat Pacquiao, and that he is the better fighter. Marquez was outraged after the fight, believing himself to be robbed once again:

"

"This is the second robbery of the two that we had, and I think this was even more clear than the first," Marquez said. "We won with the clearer punches. The audience protested because they saw us win again. I thought I got robbed. It happens again and again. I don't know what else I can do to win."

"

Marquez is not going to take this loss well. He will surely seek revenge as he was clearly winning throughout the fight until the final round.

Told that he was winning entering the round, Marquez fought well and was sure he had won.  When he heard Pacquiao being ruled the winner, he was surely upset and would have wanted another fight.

The only question pertaining to if they will fight again is whether or not Marquez will retire. There's no way Marquez retires like this because he has too much pride.

In the next year or two, we will certainly see Pacquiao vs. Marquez IV, and we will hopefully have a clear winner.
