UFC on FOX 1: Cain Velasquez's Superior Ground Game Will Beat Junior Dos Santos
Cain Velasquez will usher in the new era of UFC on Fox with a big knockout of Junior dos Santos.
UFC is one of the fastest growing sports in the entire world, and a live heavyweight title fight on network TV can turn an underground phenomenon into a commonly accepted sport.
The best part of this whole idea is that the UFC didn’t build a cheesy card to test the waters, they made their show long enough for one fight and it would be the premiere fight of the year so far.
While the idea of competing against Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday is a tough mountain to climb, the fact that the show is on a network TV station for no extra cost will get people excited.
People love cheap, but it will be the content that actually keeps them on the channel.
These are two of the best fighters in the UFC, and there is something that the American people love about the heavyweight divisions of any sport, and they will get behind a potentially amazing fight, no matter who is participating.
Those fans will love to see these two heavy hitters ready to unleash their fury on each other in front of what could be the biggest audience in UFC history.
While I give Junior dos Santos all the credit in the world for being tough as nails, I just think Cain Velasquez’s takedown and ground abilities will be too great for dos Santos to stop.
Once Velazquez is on top of his opponent, he has shown in the past that he will not stop beating a person down until that referee rips him off his opponent.
If dos Santos wants to win, he needs to keep the fight standing up and punish Velasquez for shooting in on him.
This fight has all the making of an epic title brawl, and the American people will be in for a treat!
