Winners and Losers From WWE's Armagedon
In a time where there is very little wow factor in wrestling, Armageddon proved once again that "Anything is possible in the WWE." Not even Nostradamus could have predicted the turn of events that took place in Buffalo. Giving all wrestling fans hope of things to come in '09. Here are the winners and losers from last Sunday's PPV.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Let's get the obvious one out of the way. Jeff shocked the world with his title win on Sunday. Not in a sense that he shouldn't be given a title run, it's more about how "quickly" they put the strap on him. When most fans thought Edge was going to wait until Wrestlemania (which would've been about as predictable as 'Taker Mania victory) the WWE shocked everyone by unexpectedly putting the belt on Hardy at a low profiled PPV.
Edge
Yeah, I know he lost his belt but he still comes out a winner. Edge and Jeff have a long history and Jeff sneaking in a victory only thickens the plot. The whole world is wondering how long Jeff will be able to hold on to the belt and who will take it away from him. The ultimate opportunist, Edge has been the king of helping others with this problem; we can only wait and see if he does the same to Jeff.
Triple H
The other loser in the triple threat match is also a winner here as well. With someone else being "the main guy" Triple H has more time to spend with his pregnant wife, baby and he can also devote more time to Hollywood. Now, I don't expect Hunter to be away for long, if at all; Wrestlemania is just around the corner. Plus, since marrying Stephanie, he's yet to be second best.
WWE
The WWE was able to shock everyone, something that no wrestling organization has done since the late '90s. By putting over Jeff, the WWE has given wrestling fans hope of things to come. Fans have been screaming for the charismatic enigma to get the belt for some time now, and since it's finally happen they will put a little more faith in the WWE.
Losers
Vladimir Kozlov
Although challenging a world champ is by no means shabby, Koslov did go from destroying the face of the WWE (Triple H) to battling the champ of the bottom three brands. Kozlov will need to step his game up a bit. And it's highly likely that the Russian is heading full steam ahead into the Rumble.
HBK
Broke? Really? Although the storyline is plausible for most, I don't see it the case for a star who's a part of the hottest selling groups (DX) as far as merchandise is concern. Then again, Mike Tyson was boxing highest grossing fighter and he somehow managed to lower himself to cleaning windshields at 1st and Main. Can HBK bring out the best in JBL like he did Flair and Jericho? I'm not sure, until he does he's sitting at the bottom of the WWE.
Rey Mysterio
Ever since Mysterio returned to Raw, he's struggled to get his groove going. He was stuck in a feud with Kane that went absolutely nowhere. And now he can't even win a mid-card tournament (Intercontinental tourney). He's fallen far from his seeing his world title dream come true (watch out Jeff) which could be because he has stalled in signing the 5 year deal requested by the WWE. Will he be Mexico or TNA bound? Or will he pick it up and return to his former glory?
WWE
They surprised everyone by placing the strap on Jeff, but that leaves a "what now feeling." How can the WWE possibly top that? And if Jeff already has his first world title victory, what's the big storyline for Wrestlemania? Surely it won't be HBK retiring or the 'Taker's streak ending, so what can the WWE do now?
Unfortunately for the WWE, there's only down from here. Unless...
