WWE Survivor Series 2008: Top 5 Moments from the Show
WWE Survivor Series 2008 was a very memorable show. It had tons of epic moments that will be remembered forever.
Of course, I want to take note that Triple H vs. Kozlov was a terrible match. It was for the WWE title, and the audience did not care one bit. Kudos to the crowd for letting WWE know their feelings on the battle!
5. Team Batista vs. Team Orton
1 of 5This was a great match. These exact types of matches are what I expect from Survivor Series. Nothing amazing or off the charts, but a solid 20 minute bout.
Of course, the main focus was on Randy Orton and Batista here. I suggest everybody watch the final moments of the video I posted. It really was an epic closing moments...
4. Jeff Hardy
2 of 5The story they ran here was not needed. They took him out of his match and said he was found knocked out in his hotel. They gave no details, so they left it up to you to interpret. Bad move!
With Jeff Hardy, everybody is going to assume one thing. Then WWE said it was from an attack, and it was nothing like how people thought. Just a pointless story, and they really pushed the boundaries of "moral and ethic" codes.
3. Team HBK vs. Team JBL
3 of 5I loved Shawn Michaels vs. JBL. The entire feud was great, and it produced some classic matches between the two. It all started here...
In such a strange sight, The Great Khali, Rey Mysterio, and Shawn Michaels won the match. Them celebrating just looked so funny to me. Either way, it was a nice opener, and I remember it fondly!
2. Cena Returns and Faces Jericho
4 of 5This match was for the World title, and Jericho was not going to give it up easily. John Cena making his return on this night was very cool to see.
Chris handled the promo working leading up to the event, but Cena was here to win the title. There was no other outcome. Jericho and Cena put on a great main event, but it was "time" for Cena to become the new champion!
1. Edge Shocks the World
5 of 5I did not like the Jeff Hardy story, but it sure did come together here. Having to sit through was Triple H/Kozlov match was bad enough, but a "mid-match" Vickie Guerrero was not what I wanted to see.
Of course, she brought out Edge to take the place of Jeff Hardy and officially made the WWE title match a triple threat match. Absolute bedlam broke loose here, but Edge stole the pin fall and the title!
Just like John Cena, the man won the belt in his return. It was a great moment that began the WWE title changing hands for six of the next seven PPV shows or something like that. Just madness! To top it all of, you have Jim Ross screaming his lungs out like only he can...
