Pacquiao vs. Marquez III: How Will Mayweather Distractions Affect Pac-Man?

Manny Pacquiao versus Floyd Mayweather is a fight the boxing world badly wants and needs, but before that fight Pac-Man must defeat Juan Manuel Marquez and not look ahead to future fights.

The distractions of a Mayweather fight have been present throughout Pacquiao's training during the build up to Saturday's fight with Marquez in Las Vegas.

For a fight with Mayweather to happen, Pacquiao must defeat Marquez, and it would help if he knocked him out rather quickly.

If Pac-Man isn't focused to start the fight he could be in real trouble. 

Marquez has a ton of confidence going into this fight, and and after two close previous fights with Pacquiao he knows what he's getting into.

Pacquiao must be able to put the Mayweather distractions to the side because Marquez is capable of pulling off a stunning upset.

If Pac-Man were to lose this fight, he may lose a shot a Mayweather.

Welterweight star Tim Bradley, who faces Joel Casamayor in the premier undercard fight prior to Marquez and Pacquiao, could fight Mayweather in May if Pacquiao is not an option.

Bradley is a rising star in boxing, and could earn a fight with the big boys really soon. 

Pacquiao must not look ahead of Marquez because he cannot afford to fall behind early in this fight. Marquez has the strength necessary to punish Pac-Man's mistakes.

Everyone wants a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight, including Manny, but he must take care of business against Marquez, because if he loses to the Mexican then his long awaited bout with Money May could take even longer to finally happen.

Pacquiao cannot worry about the future because his bout with Marquez on Saturday will affect his future fights.
