WWE: 7 World Title Matches Fans Want to See

A.D. Christian VitaleNov 15, 2011

WWE has given us some memorable moments over the years.

Today, I want them to look into the future.

The WWE title picture has been somewhat repetitive over the past several months. With new stars working their way to the upper mid card, it is time to shake things up.

The seven matches I am going to list include past, present and future main event stars. This list is based on current WWE story lines.

Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk

1 of 8

When I look at these two names, I immediately see an excellent match.

These two are considered some of the best in-ring performers in the world today.

CM Punk has the mic skills to get the fans excited, and Daniel Bryan has the experience to hang on Punk's level.

As two future main event stars, this match would be epic.

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry

2 of 8

Many people believe that Sheamus will be the one to stop Mark Henry.

During the summer, these two superstars faced each other one-on-one, but neither came out on top. Mark Henry went on to capture the World Heavyweight Championship, and Sheamus went on to feud with Christian. While many people thought that their feud ended too early, I believe that it gave creative the option to have them feud again.

If WWE creative does decide to give fans a Mark Henry vs. Sheamus II, then it will definitely be for the strap.

The Miz vs. R Truth vs. CM Punk

3 of 8

What do you get when you put three of the biggest talkers in the WWE together?

One hell of a match!

All three of these men are in excellent shape and are the future of the business. While I don't expect this title match to happen in the foreseeable future—due to storyline purposes—it is definitely one I'm hoping will occur.

Undertaker vs. Mark Henry

4 of 8

If Kane doesn't show up to stop Mark Henry, many people are praying that The Undertaker does one final run before he retires.

While it seems like a long shot, it would be a great way to build up to his final match at WrestleMania 28.

As for Mark Henry, the opportunity to enter a feud with a legend would bring the best out of him.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara

5 of 8

At WreslteMania 28, this match could be Rey Mysterio's passing of the torch.

Because he is on borrowed time for his knee injury, this match might be one of the few he has left.

It should be known that a Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara match is already being planned. (Sescoops.com)

Adding Del Rio into the mix would bring more uncertainty to the ending thus making the match 10 times better.

I love the dedication Rey Mysterio has shown for the WWE, and this match could be a great sendoff for him.

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

6 of 8

I don't know how many times I have seen this match picked by fans as one of the matches for WrestleMania 28.

It is a dream-match between the two people who consider themselves, "The Best In The World."

With that being said, it also should be known that Chris Jericho has pitched working with Punk at WrestleMania 28.

If this is true, fans might get to see two dream matches next year!

John Cena vs. CM Punk

7 of 8

John Cena and CM Punk have faced each other in two of the best matches of the year. So, who says they won't go at it third time?

CM Punk has yet to pin John Cena cleanly. John Cena has yet to defeat CM Punk.

On top of that, fans felt that the feud ended too early. So give the fans what they want!
