Triple H To Star in Thor?
Many have been hearing that Marvel Comics wants Triple H to star in their new movie out in 2010, Thor. The movie is another chapter in the Entertainment industry's battle for more movies.
See, with the emergence of The Dark Knight as the second highest-grossing movie in history only behind Titanic, and the Spiderman trilogy doing well, Marvel wants to bring in Thor, a forgotten comic, that many loved.
It was not as popular as Batman or Spiderman, or even X-Men, but they want to bring it in to get more exposure for it. Hollywood has run out of ideas for movies. The reason we see so many is because they are books formally.
Some of the better and more successful movies have been books. Or, of course, like Titanic and Remember the Titans, true stories. Titanic was based on a true story, but was added to a bit.
This is why comics have done so well in the movie industry and guys like Stan Lee are billionaires. Many think Thor will do well, if given the right actor for the part. Daniel Craig had been added to the conversation as the main guy for the job.
As we know he is the James Bond star, and it looks as if there would be another around the time of Thor being filmed. So he declined on it and said he was not interested. And Triple H was the next guy on the list for the part.
Since Craig is not going to do it, Triple H is now the leading candidate for Thor. We know Triple H can act—he has been in a few movies and TV shows. Since Marvel knows he can act and his image makes him perfect for Thor, it looks like hey may get him.
But there are two problems with the idea, however. Triple H was supposed to be the star of the new "underwraps" super hero movie from WWE films called Journeyman. If he were to star in Thor, it would kind of ruin it.
Thor is not a WWE Films project, therefore Triple H would have to choose which he would be in. WWE can always find a replacement for Triple H in Journeyman. Since many have no idea of what he looks like, any person could do it.
Many know that Triple H looks like Thor, and since he does, I think he should be in it rather than Journeyman. And there are many reasons why he should, but I'll give you just a few.
First off, Thor is a superhero many know about, with that said, people would flock to see it. Triple H, like Stone Cold and The Rock, would be a household name with non-wrestling fan families.
It would make more money for him and he may get more opportunities outside of wrestling, which is good for him, because even though he is one of the best of all time, he would need something to fall back on.
Acting is something he does well. After all, he is on the WWE. They do it all the time in promos and what not.
Journeyman may not do well, considering it is a made up character that has never been in a comic or heard of before. Sure, there is a chance that a new Super Hero would be good to get out there.
It could make money and he could be the new super hero that we do need out there, other than Batman and Spiderman. He would be the face of it, and it may launch him to the top. But that is hard to say that it would happen of course.
Vince would have to have to let him do another non-WWE Films project if he were to do it. He would also have to take significant time of to do the film, too. With the movie being Thor, it might be shot in a place like New Zealand.
If you know about Thor, then you might understand why it is there. If not, then look him up and you'll know why.
