Week 10 NFL Picks: 5 Teams Guaranteed to Win

Ben ArnoldNov 11, 2011

The NFL season is well under way.  The playoff pictures are being set and with only one more week of bye weeks, all teams are playing.  If your a betting man, which most of you are, then you need to know who is going to win these games.  Who doesn't like making money?  I know I do.

Each week there are upsets, but each week there are locks as well.  These five teams are locks to win this week.  I don't see anyway they lose.

The NFL is an exciting sport, anything can happen and anything will happen.  If something can go wrong, it will go wrong.  That rings true is almost any aspect of life, and the NFL is nothing different.  Yet, I am confident these five teams will do more right than wrong come Sunday.

And away we go...

Washington Redskins

1 of 5

The Redskins are a fickle team.  One week Ryan Torain is the starter, the next it is Roy Helu.

Expect Roy Helu to be the back starting from now on, though.  Judging by last week's breakout performance in which he caught 14 passes for 100-plus yards and rushed for 40, he is the back that John Beck will dump it off to.  He doesn't have many other options outside of Helu and Fred Davis, but the Miami Dolphins won't be able to handle it.

Helu is going to be playing for his career and I expect yet another breakout game as he leads the Redskins to a much-needed victory.

Matchup Lock Rating: 7/10

Pittsburgh Steelers

2 of 5

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a loss to the Baltimore Ravens, so expect them to play hard and tough against their division foes, the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Steelers don't like to lose two in a row and in these critical times where every division game counts, the Steelers will show up full force against the Bengals.  Rookie A.J. Green will struggle to get open, forcing fellow rookie Andy Dalton to make bad decisions.

Steelers stay in the hunt.

Matchup Lock Rating: 8/10

Philadelphia Eagles

3 of 5

The Philly offense should come out of the gate full force Sunday when they face off against the Arizona Cardinals.  Kevin Kolb—if he plays—will try to make a point, but this is an Eagles defense that will not allow that point to be heard.

Vick and McCoy will be able to dismantle the Cardinals' defense and mow through them with no issue.

Matchup Lock Rating : 9/10

Baltimore Ravens

4 of 5

The Baltimore Ravens go up against a Seattle Seahawk defense that has been great against the run, but I expect Ray Rice to be able to move through them perfectly fine.  The Seahawk offense won't be able to do much against the stout Ravens defense, which is the main reason for this selection.

The Ravens will roll with ease.

Matchup Lock Rating: 9/10

Green Bay Packers

5 of 5

The Packers are rolling.  They have a legit shot to win the season without a loss.  Do I think they will? Doubtful, but I am not scared about them facing the Minnesota Vikings this week.  The Pack are firing on all cylinders and the Vikings won't be able to answer all the options they have.

Adrian Peterson will be shut down, as the Vikings don't have much of a wide out threat.

The Packers continue there dominance for another week as the undefeated talk grows.

Matchup Lock Rating: 10/10
