Jon Sandusky: Why Jerry Sanduksy's Son Shouldn't Receive Public Criticism

Jerry Sandusky's son, Jon, is an employee of the Cleveland Browns. At this point in time, he should be left alone and receive no backlash from the public. 

Following the extremely disturbing allegations against his father, Jon is dealing with a lot. He works as the director of player personnel for the Browns, and has opted to continue working during these rough times, according to Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. 

Jerry Sandusky was arrested last weekend for sexually abusing young boys. Some of these tragic events supposedly happened on the Penn State campus. 

The nation has a strong opinion surrounding this scandal. With that last name, it's not easy to go about your day-to-day life. 

However, it's Jon's choice to not leave work and that should be respected. As far as we know, he has done nothing wrong and nobody should say anything to him about it. 

Put yourself in his shoes for a moment and realize that you would probably not want anyone to bring the situation up at all. 

I can only hope that Jon had no clue of his father's wrongdoings. If he did, then he does deserve criticism. 

However, at this point in time, he should be left alone by the public. 

The Akron Beacon Journal writes that Jon Sandusky is “just completely devastated” by the accusations against his father. Jon declined comment and asked for privacy.

The 34-year-old deserves that privacy because of how severe this scandal has become. It's the biggest one in sports history, and it's difficult for all those involved. 

For those people in Cleveland, if you happen to see Jon Sandusky around, don't yell to him about his father. That is the last thing he wants to hear. Try the polite approach and ask the man how his day is going. 

A lot of people are outraged at what Jerry Sandusky supposedly did, and rightfully so. However, that does not mean people need to get all over the Internet and bring Jon Sandusky down with him.
