WWE News: WWE Reportedly Interested in Bringing Shane McMahon Back to TV

Drake OzNov 11, 2011

In October 2009, Shane McMahon officially parted ways with the WWE in a move that surprised many of us.

We assumed that, despite his interest in other areas, Shane would probably stay with his dadโ€™s company for most of his career. But Shane did indeed bolt the company, and he hasnโ€™t been seen or heard from since.

If the WWE has its way, however, that could change soon.ย

"

Shane McMahonโ€™s name was brought up during recent internal WWE talks in regards to creative, but the feeling was that heโ€™s gone and there are little chances of luring him back anytime soon.ย

"

I would definitely approve of this move.ย

Maybe you can call me a Shane McMahon mark, but Iโ€™ve always been a big fan of the guy and everything that he can contribute to the WWE. Heโ€™s much more than an executive who can work on the business side of things.ย

Shane Oโ€™Mac has always been an interesting TV character, and heโ€™s a true daredevil in the ring. So, he could come back as some sort of authority figure and special occasion wrestler.ย

Even though heโ€™s no longer with the WWE and seemingly has no plans to return to the company, wrestling is in his blood, and I could see him eventually coming back to the company for one last run on TV.ย

Maybe not now, but at some point.ย

Of course, now would be a great time for Shane to return because of the ongoing storyline between Triple H, Kevin Nash and John Laurinaitis. Shane has obvious ties to all men involved, and he could be the one who steps in to mediate or join forces with any one of those three.ย

The possibilities are endless for Shaneโ€™s potential return, but I still donโ€™t think weโ€™re going to see him back in the WWE anytime soon.ย
