Texas A&M vs. Kansas State: Last Minute Spread, Line, BCS Impact and Predictions
The 5-4 Texas A&M Aggies and the 7-2 Kansas State Wildcats meet up in what is sure to be a battle between two very disappointed teams. Both teams came into this season with a ton of expectations, and, at times, they have shown a ton of promise, but overall, both of these programs have dropped the ball.
The Aggies looked prime to make a splash in their final year in the Big 12, but bad losses to Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma have derailed their going away party.
The Wildcats seemed to be one of the most dangerous teams in the league with an undefeated season in the mix, but back-to-back losses to Oklahoma State and Oklahoma have proved that theory as false.
Both teams have a lot to prove, and both teams have a ton of frustration to vent.
It should be an interesting matchup.
Where: Bill Snyder Stadium, Manhattan, KS
When: Saturday Nov. 12. 3:30 p.m. EST
Watch: ABC Regional, ESPN3
Spread (Bodog.com): Texas A&M -5
The Aggies have been far too inconstant to trust with this spread.
Over/Under (thespread.com): 64
These two teams can score, but this will be close. I'd still go over.
Key Injuries:
Texas A&M: Wide receiver Ryan Swope questionable (head), running back Christine Michael questionable (knee), defensive back Steven Campbell questionable (leg), wide receiver Kenric McNeal questionable (foot), linebacker Garrick Williams questionable (ankle), defensive back Coryell Judie defensive back (hamstring).
Kansas State: Wide receiver Brodrick Smith questionable (undisclosed).
BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications:
The Wildcats are No. 14 in the nation and can still finish out the year strong and ranked. The Aggies could perhaps move into the back end of the BCS with a few big wins to end out the year.
Keys to Texas A&M Win:
Ryan Tannehill is the driving force behind this team. When he is on and playing like a legitimate senior quarterback, his team is good. When he is off, the Aggies play horrible. It all hinges on him in this game.
Keys to Kansas State Win:
Quarterback Collin Klein is the teams passing and rushing leader. If you stop him, you stop the Wildcats. If he can make plays, it's going to be a long game for the Aggies.
Prediction:
Kansas State needs to pull out of this tail-spin and get a big win.
