Spread
LSU (-41.5.) according to Sportsbook.
You can see my score below. Yes, I am predicting a win, but betting on a six-touchdown win is just dangerous. LSU will be up big early and will likely have their starters removed for a lot of the game.
To actually bet on them covering is just a huge risk.
Over/Under
48.5, according to Sportsbook.
A lot of the same logic applies here, but I like the over much better. It wouldn't surprise me at all if LSU hit this one on their own. Actually, that's what I am predicting.
Key Injuries
Western Kentucky DL Jared Clendenin is questionable.
Western Kentucky PK Monte Merrick is doubtful.
Western Kentucky QB Brandon Doughty, WR Marcus Vasquez, and WR Willie McNeal are out.
LSU G Josh Dworaczyk is out
BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications
For Western Kentucky, this game is irrelevant. They are a spoiler at this point.
From an SEC perspective, this game means nothing to LSU, as Western Kentucky is not a conference opponent. But from a national perspective, this game means everything to the BCS' No. 1 team.
Keys to a Western Kentucky Win
Bobby Rainey has already hit the 1,000-yard mark on the season. On the road against a team like LSU, he will need to be stellar.
Keys to an LSU Win
The most important thing for LSU is to come out of this game healthy. If they don't come out with an absolute catastrophe, they will roll in a big way.
Prediction: LSU 55, Western Kentucky 6
LSU is just a much better team. This will be a blowout.
