NFL Picks Week 10: Teams That Will Knock off Division Rivals on the Road

Patrick ClarkeNov 10, 2011

As the playoffs draw near and the season's action heats up, Week 10 presents a healthy dose of division rivalries guaranteed to entertain.

The schedule of can't-miss games kicks off Thursday night in Southern California when the 4-4 Chargers host the 4-4 Oakland Raiders; both teams are in desperate need of a win after suffering brutal losses in Week 9.

The fun doesn't end there though, here are three other bands of road warriors that will set the division tone away from home in Week 10:

New Orleans Saints (vs. Atlanta Falcons)

The Atlanta Falcons are slowly coming back into the NFC playoff picture after going 2-3 through the season's first five weeks, having won three straight games since, including the last two on the road.

The Saints avenged a disappointing loss to the Rams in Week 8 with a dismantling of division rival Tampa Bay in the Superdome last Sunday.

The winner in Atlanta in Week 10, will proudly own the NFC South lead, and enjoy a slightly easier path to the postseason.

The Saints are favored by just a pinch on the road this weekend, and their second-ranked passing attack should prove too overwhelming for Atlanta's 19th-ranked aerial defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Cincinnati Bengals)

One can bet that the Steelers defense is still kicking itself after giving up a 92-yard TD drive to Joe Flacco and the Ravens last Sunday night.

The loss means Pittsburgh has been swept by Baltimore and will face an uphill battle to win the division now.

The Bengals on the other hand, are on absolute fire, having won five straight games after beginning the season 1-2. Cincinnati boasts one of the league's top defensive squads, but that won't matter in Week 10.

The Steelers will be extremely motivated to right their wrongs inside the AFC North, and the Bengals overachieving, 21st-ranked offense will undoubtedly be exposed at the hands of the league's most consistent defense.

Denver Broncos (vs. Kansas City Chiefs)

Tim Tebow will lead a confident Broncos team into Arrowhead on Sunday looking to win Denver's third consecutive road game of 2011.

A shocking result for the Broncos last week in the Black Hole has them just one game out of the AFC West lead, surprisingly.

Just when NFL fans thought the Chiefs had turned the corner on their repulsive 0-3 start, they were the victims of the most lopsided, and unpredictable blowout of the season's first nine weeks. Kansas City was stoned by Miami at home, 31-3.

The Chiefs rushing attack has taken a major hit this season with the loss of Jamaal Charles, and Denver will instead be the dominant ground team on Sunday.

A win on the road will quiet the Tebow critics and send the Broncos to 4-5, which puts them within realistic distance of the AFC West leader.
