Week 10 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Expert Advice for Your Fantasy Football Roster

Chris TrapassoNov 10, 2011

We are all starting Adrian Peterson.

Same goes for Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson and Arian Foster.

The purpose here is to give you advice on the sleepers—the overlooked guys who will have big games this week.

In addition, watch out for the usual sure-fire starters who will be duds in Week 10.

Start

Antonio Brown

This one is starting to become pretty obvious, too. Brown led the team with 11 targets last week against the Ravens and finished the game with five catches for 109 yards.

Mike Wallace is surely still the go-to deep threat that opposing defenses will tailor their game plan around. However, Brown is really taking advantage of Emmanuel Sanders' absence, not to mention Hines Ward's fade to irrelevance (and injury).

Brown is an interesting guy. He can stretch the defense with his speed and has outstanding ability after the catch. The Steelers can use him in a variety of different ways.

The Bengals have a good defense. However, it's likely that their best corner, Leon Hall, will be draped on Wallace all afternoon. Therefore, expect another huge performance from Brown.

I would call him a legitimate WR No. 2 right now and he's oozing with potential.

Chris Ogbonnaya

I feel for all you Peyton Hillis owners out there.

Your stud running back goes down, so you did the right thing and added his backup, Montario Hardesty.

After a few decent efforts, Hardesty gets injured.

If you were brave enough to pick up Ogbonnaya, good for you. You're a resilient fantasy owner.

On the other hand, maybe this wasn't your case at all.

Maybe you weren't getting the production out of your running backs and saw that Ogbonnaya was starting in Cleveland.

Either way, this week, Ogbonnaya is a great start.

He's up against the Rams' 32nd-ranked run defense, a unit that's allowing nearly 154 yards on the ground per game.

I'd have no problem starting Chris Johnson against the Panthers, either. Slump over.

Sit

Cutler owners have to be giddy over the recent success of their boom-or-bust fantasy quarterback.

However, before Cutler is thrown to the Lions this weekend, get him to the bench.

Chicago's offensive line has done a much better job of protecting their franchise quarterback over the last couple of weeks. That is, since their last game against Detroit.

Ndamukong Suh and company will cause pressure all afternoon in Chicago. With the chance of mid-50 temperatures and rain, expect the Bears to give Matt Forte upwards of 30 touches in this one.

Don't leave Cutler on the bench permanently, as he'll be back. However, he must be dragged out of that starting spot this week.

LeGarrette Blount

Blount owners were ecstatic when their big runner returned from injury, especially when he averaged 5.5 yards per carry against the Saints last week.

However, the Buccaneers are facing the Texans' Top-Five rushing defense this week, a club that stymied the Browns in Week 9 and held them to 44 yards on 21 carries.

Josh Freeman is going to have to win this one for Tampa Bay, as Houston will take Blount out of the game in the early stages.

He should fare better than the Browns' backup runners did last week, but there are plenty of other quality starts out there.
