Titans vs. Panthers: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Donald WoodNov 9, 2011

The Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers are two of the worst teams record-wise in the NFL, but both squads have a plethora of talented players on both sides of the ball.

While there is nothing of substance on the line in this matchup, these are two teams down and out, and these games have the potential to be the most interesting.

What's at Stake?

There isn’t much on the line in this game besides pride, but that enough to get players moving. When they see rookies like Cam Newton going all out, that feeling is contagious, and before you know it, a football game may break out.

Fantasy: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper

Start 'Em: Steve Smith, Panthers

As long as Cam Newton is the quarterback of the Carolina Panthers and Steve Smith is still faster than nine out of 10 cornerbacks in the NFL, he will always get his fantasy points.

Sit 'Em: DeAngelo Williams, Panthers

Cam Newton is the passing game, and unfortunately for the team, he has also been all the running game the team has had. DeAngelo Williams has turned into a complete dud this season, and you should sit him until he proves otherwise.

Sleeper: Chris Johnson, Titans

It’s been too long since Chris Johnson had a breakout game, but what better day to get his mental edge back then against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. I expect the Titans to use Johnson all day against the Panthers.

What They're Saying

Sports columnist Bill Voth is reporting on Twitter about Panthers’ head coach Ron Rivera’s answer to a serious question:

Titans’ insider for The Tennessean Jim Wyatt is reporting on Twitter:

Key Matchup: Chris Johnson vs. Panthers’ Front Seven

The key for both teams on Sunday will be Chris Johnson. If Tennessee can get the talented running back going, the Carolina Panthers are in for a long day. If Carolina can make the Titans one-dimensional by stopping Johnson, they will win this game fairly easily.

Prediction: Panthers, 27, Titans 24
