Pacquiao vs Marquez: 3 Reasons Why Pac-Man Will Knock out Marquez Early

Tom KinslowNov 10, 2011

With all of the history between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, there is a lot of hype about this fight, but it's only going to result in more disappointment for boxing fans.

Pacquiao is in the prime of his career and he's facing Marquez for the third time after two classic bouts. Fans are expecting another slug fest, but in the end, Pac-Man is going to be standing tall after he makes quick work of Marquez with his powerful offensive attack. Here are three reasons why.

When fans look back at the two previous fights between Pacquiao and Marquez, there is a cloud of doubt that hangs around them. In the end, Pac-Man got the wins, and that's all that matters, but Marquez has clung to his belief that he was the better man than boxing's bigger superstar.

Marquez has professed that he has beaten Pacquiao and will do it again. However, Pac-Man is at the height of his powers and is a steaming locomotive who demolishes everything in his path. Sadly for Marquez, Pacquiao is out to prove all his doubters wrong, and it's going to result in a pummeling from boxing's baddest man.

This fight won't last long, and Pacquiao might not even break a sweat.

Adapting to Weight Class

As Pacquiao's career blossomed, he was able to move up in weight class and keep the same power and speed that has dominated opponents. Marquez hasn't enjoyed that same type of luxury.

Marquez has struggled to maintain his form and skill with more weight, and coming up for this fight against someone like Pacquiao is almost like asking to be beaten into the canvas. The challenger has all sorts of determination for this fight, but it won't be enough for a man who has made a living at this weight.

Pacquiao is going to be a step quicker and he's going to hit harder than Marquez, who won't know what happened by the time he's looking up at the lights as the ref counts him out.

This is the only obstacle stopping Pacquiao from signing a deal with Floyd Mayweather for the fight of the century.

Fans have clamored for the fight for ages, and finally, it looks like we might get it. However, if Pacquiao were to lose to Marquez, it would be a stunning upset and would derail the chances this fight would happen. Pac-Man knows that, and he's going to do everything in his power to send a message to Mayweather before they come to a deal on the fight.

This is going to be a clinic, and it's going to have the most ardent Mayweather supporters shaking in their boots.
