NFL Week 10 Predictions: Teams That Will Seal the Deal Early

Michael DixonNov 9, 2011

This week has potential to be an amazing week of NFL football. There are eight divisional games and six of them feature two teams legitimately in a playoff race.

We also have showdowns between desperate teams. At this time of the year, those are always worth watching.

Still, there are a few games that aren't what you would call the best matches. For now, let's take a look at those clashes.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Eagles are certainly not where they wanted to be. But generally speaking, their losses have been against good teams.

The Cardinals are not a good team. They have only two wins and both of those were at home. On top of that, there is a very likely possibility that Kevin Kolb will not be playing.

Philadelphia has to be a little irritated at this point. Look for the Cardinals to be on the wrong end of that frustration this weekend.

After a decent start, the Seahawks have come down to earth. While they are the home team in this one and much better at home, the Ravens will simply smother them.

The Seahawks just lack the offensive punch to do anything of note versus the Ravens. As a rule, I don't predict shutouts in NFL games, but this one will come close.

I grant that I am still not sure what kind of offense the Ravens have. They have shown us some good play this year, but also been inconsistent. But they will do fine versus Seattle.

I know that the Vikings put a good scare into the Packers a few weeks ago, but that situation was different.

The Packers didn't quite know what Christian Ponder was going to have, and the game was in Minnesota.

Now, Ponder is more predictable and the game is in Green Bay. I am not predicting a perfect season. At some point, the Packers will slip up. But it won't be this weekend.

The Panthers are just an all-around scary team. It's scary to be a fan of them, as they are still quite inconsistent. It's scary to go against them, because their offense is an absolute machine.

Tennessee has really hit the ground hard after a nice start to the season. They are in a spiral that they just can't get out of. It's likely that 2012 will be a more productive year for them, but I don't like them to do much in 2011.

This will be a week where the Panthers show how good they can potentially be.
