Week 10 Waiver Wire: The Latest Buzz on Week's Best Additions

John RozumNov 9, 2011

If you haven't heard already, the following three players are solid fantasy football additions this week.

And not just for Week 10, either. All can be a great addition for the remainder of the season. The only problem, however, is that if they're not gone yet, they will be soon.

Laurent Robinson: WR, Dallas

Arguably the biggest fantasy football addition out of the last few weeks (debatable with Michael Bush), and most likely the player no longer available in your league.

Laurent Robinson has already received playing time in six games this season, has gone over 100 yards twice and has a TD in each of the last two games.

With the Dallas WRs, it's basically just a reload, because, although Miles Austin is back on the fritz, Robinson has already proven to be a viable receiving threat, so Big D will continue to roll offensively.

Christian Ponder: QB, Minnesota

Most likely not the first person that comes to mind when looking for a QB to add, however, Vikings QB Christian Ponder is worth your consideration.

If you're in a league that starts two QBs, well, Ponder would be a solid No. 2 starter, as he's thrown over 200 yards in each of his last two games. His first start came against the Packers, and although he threw two picks, Ponder also had two TDs.

In Minnesota's last game, Christian finished with a 102.7 rating, had a TD (no picks) and went 18-of-28 passing. Not bad to only have 10 incompletions against the No. 13 pass defense in Carolina.

Robbie Gould: K, Chicago

Kickers obviously get overlooked in fantasy football just because they're kickers. But this past week, Robbie Gould went 3-for-3 on FGs and hit a 51-yarder (and also was 3-for-3 on PATs).

Now, depending on whether your league gives more points for the longer FGs, Gould scored anywhere from 12 to 15 points. We also have to remember that Chicago isn't that explosive of an offense.

So Gould is going to have quite a few more opportunities to have multi-FG games. On the year he has made 17 FGs, six from 40-plus, and is 21-of-21 on extra points. Say what you want about kickers, but I'll take 12-15 points from Robbie Gould any week.
