WWE News: Another 5-on-5 Match Reportedly Being Added to Survivor Series
As we saw on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, it will be Team Orton versus Team Barrett in less than two weeks at Survivor Series.
Randy Orton, Sheamus, Mason Ryan, Kofi Kingston and Sin Cara will team up to face a squad consisting of Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Christian, Jack Swagger and Hunico.
Just in case you can’t tell, that’s a lot of big-name stars in one match. Orton’s team consists of Smackdown’s top two baby faces (Orton and Sheamus) and Barrett’s team features three of the show’s top four heels (Barrett, Rhodes and Christian).

But it appears the WWE will be trying to fill out the Survivor Series card with yet another 5-on-5 match.
From F4Wonline.com (via WrestleNewz.com):
"Talk at RAW yesterday was that WWE will be adding one more 5-on-5 match to the Survivor Series pay-per-view. As noted before, Team Randy Orton vs. Team Wade Barrett will take place.
"
I like the idea of adding another traditional Survivor Series match, but I’m just not sure that the WWE has enough wrestlers on its roster to do so.
If Triple H comes back earlier than expected, we could presumable see him lead a team against Kevin Nash’s squad. Maybe something like this:
Nash, Brodus Clay, David Otunga, Tyson Kidd and Heath Slater vs. Triple H, Daniel Bryan, John Morrison, Ezekiel Jackson and Ted DiBiase
Ugh. I’m not really all that excited about the prospects of this match.
Triple H’s team would be fine because, with the exception of Big Zeke, all those guys can actually wrestle. But Nash is too old, Otunga’s too green, Clay’s not debuting until next week (and the WWE may not want to put him on pay-per-view so soon) and I’m not sure Kidd and Slater will be on the card at all.
That really says a lot about the lack of depth on the WWE roster because even a couple of years ago, the company would have had enough guys to put on two 5-on-5 matches that people really want to see.
Now, however, the WWE seems to only have enough for one.
